How did you come to that conclusion? Their GF% and xG% is great.

That line obliterated our Zibs line to the point Gallant putting Reaves on it. I repeat... Gallant took Laffy off that line and inserted Ryan Reaves. There's more to the game than just scoring goals. Both games against them, that line turned the tide and led their team to victory.

IMO that's a phenomenal 3rd line. Arguably the best in hockey.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s up for debate that they have been very very bleak in the POs for Minny.

They may be the best line ever during the regular season. Then because they are big and powerful people draw conclusions that it’s great in the POs. Well they haven’t been. Come back to me when they play one series in a PO when they aren’t seen as one of the biggest reasons for why their team didn’t accomplish anything in the POs.

Yea I made valid points which you can't debate.

Again this coming from you who thinks a GM won't trade a guy to better his team because he just signed him a year ago. Rangers might actually trade him and Nemeth in the offseason after just one year.

They targeted him, traded for him, signed him.

All of a sudden the cap issue popped up like they didn't see that coming ??

Had they traded for Eichel and signed Fox to his deal or did what they eventually did with Mika, the Front office knew full well what they were doing and getting into.

They acquired a 2 time SC champ, they are not trading him.

There is nothing to debate.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Chytil is traded long before Goodrow.

The merits of that decision is debatable, but the idea that they are gonna trade Goodrow is not based in reality

If the team is serious about having Kravtsov join, it helps.

I honestly don't know the cost of Chychrun... we heard the asking price is absurd. He all but officially asked for a trade. It may cost more than we'd like to give up, getting him @ 50% Nils, Cuylle a picks? ( it may unfortunately have to be a 1st. Not a fan of giving them up )

Lindgren for Kupari? maybe? No clue what his value is. I know a lot of people soured on Turcotte, but I look at what he is, not where he was drafted.

Laffy is going to have to make the move to the right side. He has no choice or he'll sit on the 3rd line.... again. If he's fine with that... meh.

We need speed. I'd love to sign Vatrano, I just don't know if we can afford that. It's all based upon other moves. He's almost willed the team to victory over the 1st 2 periods last night.

In the playoffs? Simply untrue as evidenced by many, many Stanley Cup winners. Hell, even our '94 Cup champs brought in "grit" and jettisoned skill to win a Cup. A deep roster, center depth, veteran(s) on defense also don't hurt either.

And I'm not talking Reaves grit. I'm talking Goodrow, Hunt, Blais, Trouba, etc... Grit with skill is ideal.

Bingo. Grit is great but you shouldn't sacrifice skill for it.

I'm in a similar boat. It's going to hurt down the track but you get the feeling Drury's going to feel the need to give the current group a couple of runs, and with none of the drafted youth really outperforming anyone he may start looking at other options.
I just don't think anyone's giving up a young-ish, cost-controlled center with much upside, especially for wingers how have as many question marks about their top-end skill as our do

Last Lindgren was Beukeboom. I think Chytil and Reaves are way more expendable.
