noonan, but hey some guys think he wasn't needed either...

It's not really outrageous to suggest that this team doesn't need 7 games to get past NJ and Vancouver if they didn't make certain trades.

Of course nobody will ever know but in the reg season they outscored Vancouver 11-5 over 2 games and NJ 24-9 over 6 games, winning all 8 by the way.

The East has about 4-5 real deep contenders this season, whereas the West really has only one powerhouse in Colorado.

I wonder if this will affect the arms race come deadline.

True. I think losing to Pittsburgh in 92' made Neil think, "alright, Mess isn't getting younger and this could be our last chance to win with this group," so he put his faith in the word of Mike Keenan who was in the playoffs many times. It's funny how he wanted the Rangers to get bigger, grittier, and tougher, but he and his Flyers lost to the NY "smurfs"

I was looking at CapFriendly.com, I don't know much about how the NHL Salary Cap works, as in these M-NTC(Modified No Trade Clause), it says Patrik Nemeth has it in 2023-2024 season, it says he gives the team an 8 team list, but does that mean we could move on from him if it's not to one of those 8 teams, or is that 8 teams he'd want to go to?

People complain that this team has no real true center prospects who can take the team into the future and then everyone is trading away 1st’s and 2nd’s where the team should be taking those players.
1. Yes you are right
2. At this point the Rangers are gonna have answer the center question from outside of the organization.
3. This is why scouts need to do their jobs and find guys in the later rounds because zero teams are successful unless they can do this fairly consistently. It's hard to do but the Brayden Points exist past the second round. Just gotta hope Rangers scouts do their jobs.

8 teams the Rangers couldn't trade him to.

Nemeth has an 8 team NO TRADE per CapFriendly.

So that's 8 teams he can say NO to, but 23 he can be traded to.

That's not quite true. We have a couple of good center prospects. Just no one with a clear high ceiling and no one that is, at least right now, a probable top 6 guy. Korczac and Cuylle are both promising. Korczac has, on occasion actually been compared directly to Brayden Point. 3rd rounders, similar builds and game. Just the chances of him actually reaching that ceiling are probably lowish to moderate at best.

But I think we need a more probable top 6 guy. Which we can get in trade or potentially draft. I think we have good winger and D prospects at least.

And at this point, I would honesty prefer to see Schneider and Jones become mainstays in the lineup rather than the Nemeths and Tinordis. Schneider obviously has shown he's ready and I think Jones, towards the end of the season, will be acclimated enough.

My bad...wrong post

I agree with Ron, even if he's nailing that blowup doll from Alaska.

Just had enough of the whole saga. The last few years with Andersson and DeAngelo, and Georgiev and Kravtsov. This organization needs to be better about who they bring in and out of the lockerroom. Too much drama that's been highly publicized.

I just don't think Drury is going to move him for less than what he wants, which is why he's still here.

I've been ready to move on from him for a long time since Lundqvist was still here.

Theyve got Zibanejad locked up long-term, with Strome (or another vet) to follow. I'm not sure finding another top 6 C is in the short term plans. Even one they draft in the first wont realistically be ready for 2-3 years.

They were in on Danault this summer until the end and that was when we still had hope in Fil.

We know it’s in their plans
