I’m carefully watching Winnipeg. If they feel their window has closed, and with their inability to attract UFA’s, they may look at a significant shakeup.

A guy who would fit in on this team may be Brenden Dillon. He plays a hard nosed game and is a veteran with lots of experience. $3.9m cap hit. It was rumored the Rangers were interested when he was a UFA I believe or upcoming UFA. Perhaps the cap hit is too much but if they’re looking for a steadying presence to play with a young RD and insulate Miller, Dillon would be a real nice addition.

2 years left after this one and he isn't really all that good.

Pass.

I'm from Utica. I know.

Buffalo is not Upstate either way and it's f***ing annoying when Sam conflates them during broadcasts.

Syracuse and Utica are CNY and Upstate. They're all f***ing dumps too.

I love Utica. It's the only city big enough to have slums and crime but small enough to have hillbillies driving ATVs down main street.

I’m not in love with the idea of bringing back Miller. I saw today it’s possible the Canucks may re-sign him but who knows if that’s just posturing or not

wasn’t it reported he was having issues with Horvat? If so I can’t imagine the Canucks re-sign him

don’t worry Namestnikov deal incoming

I'm not moving Othmann for JT.

I'd move Nils LOOONG before Othmann.

Nils has Fox, Trouba and Schnieder ahead of him on the RD pecking order.

Add Lindgren, Miller and in my opinion Jones on the LD

Nils is excess, and as such should be used as bait
Nils doesn’t have a long term home available on the Rangers defense. He therefore becomes a very valuable trade asset. Drury can’t afford to f*** this one up. Any trade needs to return a premium asset (at a reasonable cap hit) that can help put this team over the top.

The Handshake City.

Whatever that means,

(wanking motion)

The only good things that came from here were Joe Bonamassa, moe, riggies and half moons. Not that shit you get on the counter in the city in saran wrap. Tomato pie isn't bad either, but Philadelphia can claim that. It's the only other place I know of with it. (I spent a few years at college in Jersey and lived in Brooklyn as well). I did my time downstate. That cost of living? Best of luck with that shit. Most of my family is out west anyway (Hawaii, California, Washington)

I take the Rangers with me where ever I may move to next.

It would be the most Rangers thing ever if they bought high on JT Miller after they had previously sold low on the same asset. It is literally the dumbest thing ever. I get it, he's a changed man or whatever, but it would be so embarrassing as an organization.

It's like when Chicago traded Panarin for Saad after they had traded Saad away. Look at how that worked out for them.

Kravtsov for Miller would probably turn out the same way too

Why can he afford to f*** it up? I'd prefer he makes a good decision.

Its pretty clear to see what prospects/young players are in the long-term plans, and which ones aren't. I wouldn't get attached to Kravtsov, Lundkvist, Chytil or any of this years 1st/2nd round picks. All of them wont be moved, but definitely some.

He doesn’t have any trade protection and they just signed Nemeth to a 3 year deal that started this season. I think it’s clear they don’t mind the term left. My guess is he would be a 1-2 year transition piece and then traded once a young player (Robertson?) showed he was ready. The $3.9m cap hit is the tougher pill to swallow next season. If they feel they can fit him and Strome in while moving Nemeth and Georgiev then it may be a solid move. It solidifies the top-6 and makes them harder to play against. Dillon is no fun for opposing forwards.

Scheifele. He appears checked out up there. Launder the cap hit through Arizona.
