I don't buy it. He's been solid all around.. He makes a lot of plays backchecking as well.
If he wanted a true matchup line Copp would be with Zibs or Goodrow. Panarin-Strome will be weak no matter who you put on their wing.

IDK about that. Kakko was exclusively used in the top 6 this season. He's a really reliable defensive player, which Lafreniere and Chytil aren't at this point.

he has new older toys.
He defintely likes Kakko's game better than Laf, for sure though. Laffy is not a Selke candidate but he's not a floater like others or a detriment imo. He's actually stood out to me, making strong defensive plays

I don't think getting a look at Copp and Panarin together is a bad thing, and moving Strome rather than Laf would cause trouble I guess.
And yeah, shit time to take Laf off that line, but would be nice if him, Chytl and Goodrow can gel...

Ryan Strome has degraded so much over the past few months. His floating and defensive coverage have been absurd.... his faceoffs %? Chytil is about to pass him.
IMO Chytil is the better Center right now and should be treated as such... also, move him to wing.

And? People on here trying to give him the 2C job already. Just something to keep in mind that he hasn’t played center yet.
Rangers can’t commit to Copp as 2C if they don’t see him play 2C. Not saying it won’t happen. Saying that we haven’t seen any evidence yet.
