I never got Hajek. It should have been a red flag that the guy couldn't score points going back to like 12 years old.

I was dragged for saying that!
They were enamored by his skating I suppose though that's literally the only good part of his game

Paul wants $3M AAV. Ottawa is at $2.85M. Those guys are so cheap. Ottawa has cap space. Paul wants to stay there. Ottawa doesn't attract many players if they have other options.

Do you think NYR should trade for and sign Paul for that ?

The prices on these players getting moved signals to me the buy low path is what Drury is going to do. Radulov, Carpenter

Only big fish left is Giordano and Rakell

The Rangers-TB looks more worse by the day. The Rangers gave away McDonagh looking at the returns for D.
That trade was made 4 deadlines ago. The market was what the market was. The market this year is clearly different, we were just unlucky in the timing. Comparing the returns makes no sense. Flat cap is inflating value of salary retention among other things.

It was a weak return to begin with. Giving Miller away on top of it was the cherry on the shit sundae.
That was a weird day. It looked McDonagh was not being traded. Then the Rangers were trading McDonagh. The Rangers had issues with Miller. He missed a curfew and AV got mad at him. It seems the entire organization had no faith in him. TB immediately traded him to Vancouver one year later.

The Rangers didn't want to extend McDonagh and Miller.

The Nash trade was solid.

Should not have traded either one, and I said as much at the time. We got corn holed.
