Speculation: Roster Building Thread - Part XXXIII

Domi is not the player that some on here want him to be. If he was actually the player some of you want him to be than you'd be complaining we can't afford to trade what it would cost for him. Domi has bounced around to three different bad teams recently. He's not a quality player. Everyone holds out hope he will put it together, but to this point he just hasn't and isn't worth this level of debate.

I don’t see someone who plays with some great amount of grit. I see a guy who has some offensive talent, but does not have a well rounded game. We need more players with well rounded and engaged styles of play.

Also Domi is not a Center. He is a winger at this point. Have you watched him play or are you just reading the surface stats?

In fairness, we've been watching RW Ryan Strome play C for so long now that we can't tell the difference. :sarcasm:
 
Can't replace him, but Florida might be getting real aggressive. Ekblad just went down, no weight on his right leg, helped off.
 
Another interesting note Staple mentioned in his article tonight was that Lindholm’s next contract is expected to be around 7 years at 6 million per, which seems light on money tbh

Nobody said he was a great player but he is an NHL player that is only 27, can play C, and has scored over .5 ppg in his NHL career. I would take that over a guy like Rakell.
 
If Ekblad is out maybe takes Florida out of the running for Giroux? They would try to replace Ekblad no?

I don't really have an interest in either. Domi is just a worse version of strome at this point.

I still think they have enough at forward they need solid d and goaltending once the playoffs start. Losing Ekblad is definitely not gonna help with that.
 
FLA might go for another D instead of Giroux now. Maybe both. Maybe they trade away everything for 1 run this year.
