What have they gotten right? I can’t recall. Respectfully.
I’ll look back through his stuff but he’s definitely been out front of aa few things. He talks about a lot of things on his podcast too which if for nothing else is a fun listen.

May as well get Kessel is this is what you are going for.

They are a broken clock show for entertainment purposes only. Which is fine, but don’t use them are a marker for accuracy.

You build from the net out. Next D then up the middle. Shesh is arguably a top 5 goalie one the league and is locked up. Then you would have an elite, young D core locked up or under team control long term. We are talking possibly one of the best D groups in recent history, especially with the resurgent Trouba playing up to his contract.

Lindgren - Fox
Chychrun - Trouba
Miller - Schneider

You have your #1 center locked up. You have two of the top wingers in the game right now (with Kreider's recent play). You have a very good 4th line (when they are actually playing on it). Team has a very solid group of 2nd/3rd line forward prospects that are near ready.

This is a different strategy but one that really hasn't been tried before. Only thing close was the Preds 5 or so years ago bit they didn't have anywhere near the forward talent the Rangers do. They will have arguably 3 top pair Dmen (one of which could be the best Dman in the league for a long time) and a very good second par guy in Lindgren. Then on the bottom pair you have two top pair potential Dmen.

Ofcourse depending on the cost, I think adding Chychrun is the right play. It's different and a having an absolutely elite D core and goalie hasn't really been tried before, but i think it has a good shot at working.

Nothing arguable about this. He's arguably the best goalie in the league. Inarguably top 5. On a team with Fox, Panarin, and Mika he might be the best player.

I like the sound of this. I’m just not sure Chychrun is as good as many of you think he is.

Where do we rank him amongst the league’s defenseman? Top 40?

Really tough to rank him since he plays in a market nobody really pays attention to. I truthfully barely know anything about him.

Chychrun is having a bad year, but it's hard not to have a bad year on that team.

He's a super strong defenseman. Give me fox and chychrun with trouba and Miller for 50 mins a night in the playoffs and I think we have a shot.

We still need a forward or 2. I'm all in on Kessel. But that's just me.

If you guys seriously want Chychrun then just trade KAM. You just can't trade Schneider and what he potentially brings and I don't want to trade any forwards like Berard, Othmann. I guess maybe Kravy but how much value does he have on his own? Chychrun would be here for a while and is not just a rental and I'm assuming Lindren and Fox stay a pair. You hope Robertson becomes something in a year or two.

Imho Kessel is the answer to Mika and kreider. Move kakko back to the only line he was dominant on with strome and panarin

Then lafreniere chytil and goat.
I think Kessel would do ok here and maybe the guy we don't have to lose a prime young asset or first round pick for

I just feel like part of the reason to trade for Chychrun is to fill the hole in the lineup that is Nemeth. So I'd rather trade someone like Lundkvist.

If you can trade for Chycrun without giving up Miller, Nemeth gets moved somewhere not on his list for a late pick or future considerations with a sweetener attached by us, trade for a reliable 3rd pairing LD or promote Jones to the spot.

Then Miller is your centerpiece in a trade for a center.

Krav, Nils, Hajek, 1st for Jacob

@NYR Viper mentioned earlier about Hayton. Wouldn’t mind expanding the deal to get him too just don’t know what else should be added on top of that deal.

then Miller, Chytil as pieces in your trade for a center with youth and term.

That package is just far too much.

I would much rather do KAM for Chychrun straight up than Krav, Nils a first and more.
