Honestly, not a bad plan. Flames are very good and they have the goaltending to go deep in a weaker West

I dont think the West is weak. I think they are better suited for Playoff Hockey and tbh I'm glad we wont face them until the Cup Finals

Lehkonen isnt a rental and hes actually a very good player and only 26. Agreed on Rakell though.

Still would like a depth defender. You need as many as possible. Hajek does not inspire confidence. Obviously Jones and Nils are around, but a veteran would be nice to add. Nothing crazy. A 6th D is perfect.

Kulak from MTL wouldn't be bad in that role. Probably another 4th to get him. Maybe just give them Hajek to boot.

Vegas is not going to trade Karlsson. They are trying to make the playoffs. They will likely have Stone back if they get there. Why would they voluntarily make their team worse? If they need to trade him to clear cap they can do so in the offseason.

Yeah Kulak as a 7th d wouldn't be terrible. If Nemeth is healthy this coach is not sitting him so Kulak would just be insurance.
