Comtois would be interesting. His TOI is up pretty significantly the last 3-4 games by about 4-5 minutes compared to his average this year. Maybe that’s because Rakell is out or maybe he’s being showcased. I thought he looked good tonight

Couldn't help but notice him last night,. His line was really good and tough to play against. Comtois was making plays. He was a factor. Looking at his stats its hard to believe he had such a low productive season.

After watching him couldn't help think that he is the physical presence, who can be a very effetive guy in any top 6. Listed as LW though so, there always that. Lefty shot so not sure if he can make that transition.

If Copp is fine I think they’ll go after him

Carpenter with Chicago is the other forward I see them get

Colin Miller on defense is another guy they may target to try to shore up that bottom pair

Oh man, let's remember guys!
Interestingly as a guy who wore number 12 here in recent years he's part of an exclusive list. Ever since Fast switched from number 12 in 2015 until Nemeth got here, it's as if the number was reserved for bottom 6 forwards who were destined to be forgotten to have ever played for the Rangers.

2015: Lee Stempniak
2016: Daniel Paille AND Eric Staal
2017: Matt Puempel
2018: Peter Holland
2020: Julien Gautheir

Elite club.

Pre-Fast in 2014, we had a few others who deserve mention:

2009: Pat Rismiller
2010: Olli Jokinen and Ales Kotalik
2011: Todd White

Carpenter does the same things McKegg does. Miller plays the right side & can be a fire drill back there. Pass on both.

Kessel is useless if he’s not in the top 6

I am not sure I agree with this completely. He was a 3rd liner in Pittsburgh.

Also a thought I had about Kessel, some of his best hockey in Pittsburgh was with a guy in Bonino who plays a similar style to Goodrow. He may be a fit to help with depth scoring. 37 points in 60 games for Kessel this season and I see people complain about his low goal total but if he is playing with Goodrow and say Chytil or Brodzinski, all of those guys are capable of shooting the puck.

Kessel was a good player for those PIT teams but that was 4 years ago. He’s only an option here if it’s a last resort

If Barron is here on Tuesday I will be shocked

I don't get the feeling they are actively shopping him, I think he'll still be here. He just needs to figure out that he needs to skate every shift and to me he's too focused on being defensively responsible when he should be pressuring the d but instead he's always the F3 guy whether there's 2 guys in or not. Personally i think they should have him on with Reaves and Goodrow for a while to get him comfortable and willing to be more physical, sometimes inexperienced players need someone to drag them into the game at first.

Drury better not trade a Nils plus a pick for Lehkonen. Or even a Cuylle or a Berard. wanna trade the second rounder sure but I'm not attaching another first round prospect or very high 2nd round prospect (which Cuylle/Berard should probably have been).
He's not. That's just a few delusional habs fans on the trade board. And then you STILL have a few of them saying they wouldn't accept that trade  In their heads they must think he's a first line player or something. Guy is a 3rd liner, nothing more.

I'm not saying he's ideal, but if he is cheap, he could be a fit. Even as just a way to have a NHL-caliber 3rd line in terms of offensive potential.

I would liken him to someone like Peter Sykora when he was brought in to NY
