The problem with this is that you will never get the value you want if your expectations are based on his ceiling.
That's why you don't trade him unless someone wants to "overpay." Problem solved. Hahaha.

Panarin's highest value was last year. Already depreciating. In two years, it'll be considerably lower.Personally...I would drive Panarin there . But...he would never waive and would just sulk and stay here and draw out his money and spite the organization instead . Fox....well if Jones and Lundkvist both become what everybody predicted about them ....and Schneider and Robertson and Miller flourish here....moving Fox is indeed possible . Shesty...Ok...tough to move at the moment for sure . However if Garand continues to impress and progress he could be a great young NHL goalie within the next 4 years which makes him younger and cheaper then Shesty . So...I guess it is not unfathomable that any could be moved in that deal . For me...if done within two years....Shesty would be the hard one .
The ask for Chychrun is bonkers according to reports, and rightly so...if I had to bet this is a deal that probably happens over the summer given the money that would need to move, but you never know.
I'd image you're looking at Miller + Chytil + Othmann + 1st as the ask.

Gavrikov would be an incredible pick up.Gavrikov is a name I’d be interested in but not for a 1st
Chychrun would be an amazing get, he’s cost controlled for another few years and he’s legitimately good when not injured
Arizona would probably ask for Miller. I’d be open to it depending on the rest of the package. But Arizona could have any of the other young D we have, wouldn’t blink twice. Would even be fine with them sending Arizona Lindgren
Not interested in trading Shesterkin though. That's why I suggested Holloway the other day from Oilers who SHOULD be desperate for a goalie .
Not interested in trading Shesterkin though.
I think it's way out of left field. Don't see him being traded anytime soon and definitely not with retention, and absolutely not for Chytil, Kravstov and a 1st. You'd have a better chance of getting PLD and I think that's a stretch. This is gonna come out of left field, but I think it might be interesting to see if WPG is willing to move Scheifele with a little retention. he's got 2 more years after this at a real reasonable salary number, but WPG has alot of salary tied up and PLD needs a new contract. They dont have a ton of space and they might want to get a little younger up front.
Id def do a huge package for him if they retained even 1m.
WPG is definitely out of the race in the west with all their injuries and they dont exactly have a huge pool of prospects, so maybe FC + VK + 1st.
This year we could slide strome down or to the wing.
Would be a fast track to turning our team into the Oilers.Shesterkin for Draisaitl...maybe
If you look at their roster, their kinda in a similar spot we were in 18.I think it's way out of left field. my bad then, last i saw they were 6 points out, and the oilers hadnt started sinking yet.I think it's way out of left field. And they are one point out of the wild card behind the sinking Oilers. Not sure where you're getting "WPG is definitely out of the race in the west." They just won 3 in a row.
Jets fancy themselves contenders, they aren't gonna trade their Captain, first draft pick ever and best player unless he wants to leave. PLD is also gonna get paid a lot of money for next season, not sure it fits into Rangers cap structure. If you look at their roster, their kinda in a similar spot we were in 18.
Elite goaltending propping up some big holes in their roster.
I had no idea what a legit package would be for him, but I'd def do something huge for a talent like that on a cheap deal.
LMAO....Not interested in trading Shesterkin though.
Gavrikov would be an incredible pick up.
Players ask out of organizations all the time. It's the only way it would happen, but it's nowhere outside the realm of possibility.Proposals for Chychrun make little sense when our strongest organizational asset is the back end. Center and Right Wing are the biggest needs.
Any posts of trading Fox or Igor even in proposals for Leon or McDavid because the city of Edmonton would burn to the ground if either is traded to a contending team. Gretzky trades don't happen in this day of age unless the player is broken goods. This isn't the NBA.
Crouse from Arizona would be a nice get as well. An upgrade on Gauthier and Hunt combined.
Former teammates with Shesty, but is he much of an upgrade to our squad? I don’t see him bumping any of our top four. How much do we pay to improve our bottom pairing?Gavrikov would be an incredible pick up.
Not sure I would take Koskinen over AG. Certainly don't want to give up more capspace. Go get Halak.Georgiev for Koskinen and something would actually be interesting.
