What about just swapping Chytil and Zib? Would make 3 pretty even lines imo.

Could force the 1st line to play more direct and reduce the number of unnecessary extra passes they make while also giving the 3rd line more skill so they might actually finish some of their chances.

Kreider - Chytil - KK
Panarian - Strome - Hunt
Laf - Zib - Gaut
Reeves - Goodrow - Rooney

I could see Colorado giving Georgiev a chance if their goalie situation doesn't improve.

Reilly Smith is such the obvious move that I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. He's a RW on an expiring contract who is already familiar with GG's system (in which he played his best hockey) and he should be available for a song because Vegas is cap f***ed when Eichel comes off IR. Drury needs to get off his duff, get Smith over here, and roll with something like:

Laf-Zib-Smith
Bread-Strome-Gaut/Goodrow
Kreider-Chytil-Kakko
4th line

Roll the top three lines and ride whichever line gets hot during the game.

Why would it happen yet? Vegas needs to win games. There’s no point in them making a trade before Eichel is ready even if that means they get less of a return later. Especially because for all we know by the time Eichel is ready to play someone else may get hurt and go on LTIR and they won’t need to trade anyone

I have to say I've been wanting Gallant since he became available but i can not figure out why in a game where we were offensively deficiency that his answer was to use Gauthier more, especially with the goalie out. There was zero chance he was gonna add anything to our offense, i would have accepted nearly anyone outside of Gauthier and Chytil, Rooney even would have been a better pick. If im a betting man id say McKegg gets in for Lafreniere next game

Hajek and Georgiev are not a bad package at all. Could be very useful to a team like Edmonton. As expected, when Georgiev doesn't have to compete for the start, he is far more calm and just plays a better game. He could still be a good goalie. Got to think that he will now be moved when Igor is back and they will keep Kinkaid up.

Because I want it to, haha. No, you have a good point. It's just such a perfect fit, assuming he comes on a discount.

Apropos nothing, I wish they'd shake up the PP lines a bit. Get either Laf or Kakko on PP1 and drop Strome to 2.

But how else you would claim that Drury needs to get off his duff?
