As the need to free up cap emerges over the next 3 years, these are the high-middle contracts that will need to be considered for cap savings (not counting expiring contracts)

- Georgiev (2022)
- Nemeth (2022 - sooner the better - prob 2023)
- Lindgren (2023 - here’s the rub - we’re gonna need his 3 mil unless we convince one of Krieder or Trouba to waive)
- Krieder (2024 - 25)
- Trouba (2024 - 25)

I think we trade Lindgren before Trouba. Trouba brings alot more to the table. Yes he is 8m, but his play and presence is something we need.

Maybe Schneider can in the future, but i would love to have both if possible.

I'm not so sure I see Lundkvist future as being in NY. So, Trouba and Schneider being on the team at the same time at least til Trouba's NTC turns the corner isn't far fetched.

As far as usefulness to the club make up going by today's roster and tomorrow's contracts. I rate these guys in this order of importance vs future variables.

Jones
Schneider
Robertson
Lundkvist

I'm not sold that Lundkvist is an automatic here just because out of the four he is getting the NHL minutes and his SHL resume being a factor.

Atrocious.

What has Turcotte proved to deserve this level of payment? If you’re going by draft pedigree along you’re paying 3 first rounders for 1?
I see him as a 'better' Cirielli... What's the cost of a top Center prospect? and what would it take for that team to trade one?

Hypothetically speaking, how does that trade affect us going forward?

Kravtsov and Lundkvist are enough. Imho.
Maybe Othmann or Berard is too much... but Cuylle to put it 'over the top' an offer they can't refuse.

Future is bright

Panarin Turcotte/Chytil Kakko
Lafreniere Zibanejad Kreider
Goodrow Turcotte/Chytil Berrard

KAM Fox
Jones Trouba
Lindgren Schneider

Kravtsov, Cuylle/Othmann/Berard, Lundkvist for Turcotte.
would you?
hell no
Krav and a sweetener maybe,
but might prefer Villardi, better size, and a righty, could wean him into Strome's spot

folks in a hurry to undervalue (and ship out) guys like Cuylle and Berard
may be overlooking that it seems that those type of high-ish upside, well-rounded, after-1st-round'ers
are the guys that made Cup Winners like Pitt, LA and CBH the deep and successful playoff teams
(Tofoli/Pearson, Bonnnino/Sheary, Bickell/Boland, ...)

What's the cost of a top puck moving RHD prospect?

Not much behind a top center prospect. Look what Erik Brannstrom brought back.

Lundkvist could in theory, with small adds, fetch a 25 year old first line all-star in the right situation.

Branstrom went for a Rental. Even if the re-signed him, the cost of acquisition was as a rental. We're not trading for a rental.

We're trying to land a piece that's missing. Unfortunately, it's the most valuable position. There's no reason for LAK to trade Turcotte, even though their stacked at center, unless there's incentive there.

Maybe Kravtsov and Lundkvist is enough to land Turcotte... but I would be willing to add another piece to sweeten the pot. I think it's worth the price. I think he's going to be a really good player and fills our biggest need. Our prospect pool is still deep as well.

I don't think I want to trade Kravtsov and Lundkvist together unless I'm getting a guy I love as a future 1C, even a low-end 1C.

Is Turcotte that? Maybe.

I could be talked into, for example, perhaps Lundell for that package. But I think there's a good chance that Lundkvist and Kravtsov bring back even more than that elsewhere.

He isnt even playing center in the AHL. Kings see him more as a winger. So idk if he is a real center prospect or not

I think Nils for Turcotte is fair value straight up.

I realize 100% that Nils has looked like ass at the NHL level, but its the NHL level.
I do not think that's enough for LAK to move him.

Kravtsov, Lundkvist + and call it a day.

Kravtsov + Lundqvist for Vilardi + Pinelli, I don't love this trade but we get an NHL-ready player plus a decent C prospect who's a few years away. I would not overpay for a Turcotte who hasn't proven he'll be a top 6 player.

I hate the idea of using assets on Vilardi, we could've just had him instead of Lias Anderson, this just continues to sting but Vilardi could plug into this lineup in a number of places.
