Does that take rest days into account?

Because the Ranger schedule has been absurd in that respect.
Yes

As the season progresses strength of schedule becomes more and more important, a meaningful factor in how each team finishes. Over a full season the differences mostly wash out, but with 25 games left the effect becomes a fair bit stronger. Some teams will have a heavier split of games at home versus on the road, some teams will see a heavier dose of contenders versus bottom feeders and some teams will have more opportunities for rest versus a more packed schedule filled with back-to-backs and three-in-fours.

Keep Hayes, please. The way this team drafts in the first round -- not including Chytil, who has been and will be really good -- do we really value picks at all? This team sucks at drafting.
This is highly laughable.

Reactions: Rangers in 7
It sucks wanting to lose but I hope people can see why some of us or most of us want to lose as much as we can the rest of the way. As of right now we are in or headed towards no man's land this year and that's the exact place we don't wanna be. I understand we might not get the exact type of return's we want for Hayes and Zucc, but that doesn't mean we should resign them and basically ice mostly the same team next year.

Here’s a little opinion for ya, for all the talk about how “vital” Hayes and Zuccarello are to the team, and how they “need to be re-signed”, take a look at how their values are perceived around the league. Now I know it’s a buyer’s market and all, but look how many other players have passed them on the potential trade board. In other words, we tend to overvalue our own guys then overpay to keep them and complain when their contracts become bad. Just some food for thought, hope I worded what I wanted to say correctly because I’m burnt out on my lunch break right now.

Yeah. I absolutely hate the way they've picked in the first round with Staal, Del Zotto, Kreider, Miller, Skjei, Kravtsov, Cherepanov, Lundkvist, Miller.

The Winnipeg/Stone stuff is interesting. If they get Stone they have no place in their top six for Laine who is playing horribly. Wonder if they would explore dealing him to improve their LHD or add a #2 center. Might even be able to get both.

They could deal Laine and still have a top six of:
Connor - Scheifele - Wheeler
Ehlers - Little - Stone

With Vesalainen still in the wings. That's scary good, even with Little as the #2C.

This just in:

Fans overvalue players of their favorite team. More at 11.

They're not keeping Stone though in this scenario, right? Cuase they don't have much cap space and a lot of guys to give deals to.

Helleybuyck at 6.1m for 5 more years is rough.

Well he's from Winnipeg and is an elite player, so I'm not sure the plan would be just to rent him. It would be under the premise that they're able to retain him.

It's similar to the Kreider talk here with Panarin. Kreider vs Panarin and whatever you got from dealing Kreider.

mr preachy again. yawn. tiresome

look, this is fact.

Exhibit A: The 2014-through-2016 drafts from which the Rangers have gotten a total of five games (four from Tim Gettinger, one from Brandon Halverson) of the 17 players selected those three years.
