Yup, but again, there's no point in biting your nose to spite your face. Work the market. Get a sense of what the best offer may be. But at the end of the day, make that best deal. Even a 2nd round pick is better than the nothing that we have at the moment. I would either deal Krav for a draft pick or package him with a D for a center prospect with top 6 upside.

Such a waste.

I’m so pissed at him.

All he had to do was act like an adult and he’d likely be in line for 18 min of ice time tomorrow night, with fellow countryman Panarin.

you can’t even make it up man. We all said it. He would get his chance within a week or two! He would have been playing against the leafs tomorrow

For the Leafs game with Barron up I’d try him with Panarin. Chytil and Panarin doesn’t work and I doubt it will. Barron has a better shot and plays more of an IQ, patience based game as opposed to run and gun like Chytil.

Lafreniere-Zibanejad-Kreider

Panarin-Barron-Goodrow

Blais-Chytil-Gauthier

Hunt-Rooney-Reaves

that would be the icing on the cake. I haven’t bought a rangers Jersey since Ryan Callahan in his second year with us. Easy player to like/root for because he wasn’t toughest or most skilled but he was a worker. Full stop.
Having said that, I’m buying a Morgan Barron jersey.
I guess I’ll just have to wait until the # situation is more final.
It would be wonderful if Barron had instant chemistry with Panarin and played with him how PLD did. Part of me wants to see him with bread, but the other part really wants to see chytil get a shot at that 2C role and see if he can run with it

Yea I mentioned this in the Kravtsov thread, Gallant puts him out over Kakko to start OT but then cuts him the next day? In the video Gallant also says Drury is talking to his agent daily which I think is good news
I’ll translate, I’m good at this.
Gallant “ I’m not even thinking of Kravtsov cause his days as a ranger are deader then roadkill. Not only is he not in the building, but he won’t report and ran back to russia.......again”
Drury is in no rush to trade him, that’s why he’s letting his agent do the leg work.
Failing to report was bad enough, but then he comes out with an obvious lie that he’d play with another AHL team. That put the cherry on his sundae.
If a team traded for Krav and sent him to the A for more then a 2 week conditioning stint, he’d pack up his shit and head back to Russia again so fast you wouldn’t be able to spell stoli.
It’s certainly not as bad as buff/Eichel but it’s worse then NYR/Lias, and 99% of the population on here knew his goose was cooked

I don't think it's worse, or as bad, as Lias. He didn't deserve to be anywhere near an NHL roster. Kravtsov did/does. Doesn't excuse anything at all, but Kravtsov has more reason for getting bent out of shape than Lias ever did.

Lias has matured, however, and that's really at the crux of this issue. It's happening with Kravtsov at pretty much the same age and, honestly, Kravtsov didn't have a place on THIS roster with his pre-season. He's within his right to request a trade because he's on a team that has limited opportunities for where he's supposed to be. He still should've reported to the AHL if the NHL is his ultimate aspiration.

And Lias at least showed up to Hartford and scored at solid rates. .52 PPG in Hartford for Lias vs .38 PPG for Kravstov and (2) abandonments and counting.

Kravstov throughout this whole process has somehow made Lias look good in comparison.

I don't. I've been borderline obnoxious in my posting about it this weekend, because I have a similar view towards such players. But making a martyr of him hurts both parties. I want him traded for an asset that will help the team down the line. A shit-disturbing 2nd/3rd line winger (ie: Cuylle) will do more to help this team win than a "message" sent to a player that (by the time the asset is on the team) most of the roster has never met before (ie: Lias Andersson). The same principle holds true for Kravtsov.

I’m passed the denial stage and under no illusions were ever going to see krav in a rangers jersey again. Much like yourself I’d expect.
Imo, I’d rather take the 2nd puck in a deep draft, pick who we want, have more years of elc/control/ development rather then a 1 for 1 reclamation project that would for sure probably have a lower talent ceiling then Kravy.
However, I would be open on a 1 for 1 with a goalie prospect that has potential. We don’t have any real insurance for shesty atm, and goalies, even good ones don’t tend to garner high trade value. If Drury/Allaire can identify a target they like, who they think has starter chops with some work, that’s the 1 for 1 type of deal I would make.
Otherwise, gimme the 2nd and keep sticking the farm. Where not going to get a top 6 value prospect back unless they have some kind of serious issues/ baggage like kravy.
Take the 2nd. Well have 3 in the next draft. That’s solid ammunition to find 3 players, or possible make a move to trade up.
If I’m drury, that’s my course of action, and I’d be in no hurry either. Let Kravstovs agent do the leg work and maybe find a better deal while he sits

This is for the best

you could tell it was time, he’s been mailing it in for quite some time now.

wish him a good retirement though. Excited to see who the Athletic is going to snag to cover the Rangers now

thank good. Not to be too mean to Carp, but this was overdue.
I hope we get a solid reporter with some skill and good coverage.
Carp, How does it feel to be retired?
“ Badass...”
