For the Leafs game with Barron up I’d try him with Panarin. Chytil and Panarin doesn’t work and I doubt it will. Barron has a better shot and plays more of an IQ, patience based game as opposed to run and gun like Chytil.

I've literally posted it here twice now. You really want me to do it again?

You have more than 10k posts and this is an 80 page thread. I tried searching through it, and all I found was this (a post where you offer a paraphrase of a quote with no source):

Speculation: - Roster Building Thread - Part XXVI

Meanwhile, at every point of preseason, I found sources where Gallant was refusing to call Krav a lock and was specifically talking up Gauthier's play in the same spot.

https://nypost.com/2021/10/06/rangers-lineup-competition-intensifies-with-vitali-kravtsov-injury/

So if the post from you that I linked is what you were referring to, I need more than a sourceless paraphrase (as you have a clear bias and that paraphrase goes against everything he said on the record about the issue). If I'm still missing a post from you with a sourced quotation, I would appreciate a re-post or a link (not trying to be a dick--I did try to find it first).

Maybe that is why Panarin is barely moving out there ...sulking over the treatment of his Russian comrades ? Hope he gets his head out of his butt soon....team points in October are worth as much as March and easier to get .
Was just thinking about Panarins game too. Wonder if he talked to Kravy ( Igor too). I kinda hoped that a player of Artemis character could get Kravtsov to see that he was making a huge mistake with this bone head decision.

Unless Drury receives a huge haul that he can’t turn down for Kravstov I’d keep him suspended until the deadline.

If he wants to screw the team then the team can screw him too. He can have fun watching Traktor games from the press box. You need to send a message to other players that this kinda shit won’t be tolerated.

It’s one thing fulfilling your contract and testing free agency or letting your rights expire after being drafted and another to simply refuse to go down for a conditioning stint that is needed because you think you are hot shit.

Not a good look. Dumb idiot would’ve had a top 6 role gifted to him for over a week after the 3rd game but he chose to be an unprofessional prima donna instead.

Almost glad he did until Kakko went down.

This team traded a solid, fan favorite to help open up ice time for him. That’s not enough affirmation for you? Gimme a frigging break.

cc @smoneil More a direct quote taken and reported by a journalist than any paraphrasing on my part.

Interesting. His quotes earlier in camp indicate the exact opposite, in terms of him being the one evaluating the players re: making the final roster. I'm wondering if that's just his canned response (along with his now patented "I'm not gonna tell you" line) for questions he doesn't want to answer. Either way, though, that does muddy the waters a bit. I still think, by way of objective viewing, that Krav was beat out by the six starting wingers, though (and based on the quotations from Gallant that I posted, he clearly wasn't fully sold on Kravtsov through the early part of camp). Thanks for the link.

I don't understand this logic. If the relationship can't be repaired, you salvage the situation and get the best asset you can for the team. I'd rather be excited about Will Cuylle than stick it to Lias Andersson. The same goes for Kravtsov. If his ego is as big a problem as it appears to be, then he'll end up sabotaging himself sooner or later, and won't need our help to make him miserable.

You have a point, but I’d say beating a dead horse goes beyond fandom to the point of just annoying other fans
Someone has a consistent opinion about a sports issue and posts it in the appropriate section of a sports commentary website. That’s head and shoulders over a number of people here, but you don’t see me telling anyone to shut up.

Why do you want someone, anyone, around this team with such a toxic, lazy, unprofessional and delusional attitude?

How is he going to help this team going forward if he’s already directly hurt them with actions, a decision that was well thought out mind you. He had plenty of time to think about it. He’s made his bed, now he’ll have to sleep in it

Its very simple for me. I don’t like people who think they are owed something when they don’t put in the work to earn it. Send a message that your franchise won’t allow it.

I ain’t doing this jerk any f***ing favors.

I didn’t tell anyone to shut up but at some point it gets tiring to see over and over. I will also agree it’s far from the worst stuff posted here

I don't. I've been borderline obnoxious in my posting about it this weekend, because I have a similar view towards such players. But making a martyr of him hurts both parties. I want him traded for an asset that will help the team down the line. A shit-disturbing 2nd/3rd line winger (ie: Cuylle) will do more to help this team win than a "message" sent to a player that (by the time the asset is on the team) most of the roster has never met before (ie: Lias Andersson). The same principle holds true for Kravtsov.

I can be guilty of this from time to time (really digging in against someone on a topic). On a few occasions, I've blocked someone on here and then unblocked them two weeks later, once the topic of the argument has passed, just to prevent myself from being tempted to respond. If nothing else, at least I have some awareness of my own lack of self control, haha.

Panarin already did it with him once. He was one of the reason he came back last time.

If you can get good or better value for him that helps the team now then yeah, go for it.

Im going on the premise that a majority of GMs will be hesitant in giving back anything of real value for a player who has shown his hand not once, but twice.

Yup, but again, there's no point in biting your nose to spite your face. Work the market. Get a sense of what the best offer may be. But at the end of the day, make that best deal. Even a 2nd round pick is better than the nothing that we have at the moment. I would either deal Krav for a draft pick or package him with a D for a center prospect with top 6 upside.

I’ve also never “seen” the same amount of potential and hype around Kravstov that a lot of you have been posting over the last calendar year, which is why I was voting prospects like Schneider well ahead of him.

I think he has second line potential but that was never super exciting. If he goes elsewhere and starts scoring 35 goals I’ll admit I was wrong, but I’d be surprised.
