It is Jimmy Murphy so take that with a grain of salt
Kreider definitely has to be the unnamed player right? No one else with term is really valuable on our team, no chance it’s Zibby either
Hopefully it’s Skjei
They never said the player with term was valuable so it could be Namestnikov for all we know.

Won't be Kreider. All the guys the NYR need in return are already necessary in Boston for playoff depth.

Kreider's not going for 3 B prospects hanging out in junior/AHL.

Skjei can still improve as a defender @jas - maybe only a wish thought from me. But maybe it has been too much responsibility after Ryan Mc. went to Tampa - I remember those two trained together in previous pre-season camps when he was still a Rangers in the summer time.

Hayes and Shattenkirk for McAvoy

Trading Kreider would be terrible. At that point trade everyone. Let's be an AHL team for 3-4 years

You’re right, but I also don’t want to move Kreider unless it’s bringing back a high-quality asset in the ilk of Debrusk. You can’t screw up that type of trade when we’re lacking top-6 players, and we don’t have any immediate replacements.

Does only having 1 year left make this more challenging? Of course, but it’s up for Gorton to make the right move here.

He’s not returning Debrusk. No chance. Aim lower. I like the idea of Carlo if they can find a taker elsewhere for him. You could get a high end piece for Carlo.

Carlo + Donato + Frederic + BOS 2nd ‘19 for Kreider + McQuaid

Carlo for Nylander

Urho Vaakanainen and Zack Senyshyn aren't playing for their AHL team, but apparently Vaak has been sick. Senyshyn would be a throw-in. Those are...not easy names to spell

ed: and Senyshyn has a "head laceration," which sounds bad

2nd pairing LHDs are not a rare commodity in this league.

They kind of are when they’re 24 with term.

I know you’re not a fan but of him, for some good reasons, but I also feel you can be more patient with his development.

He has the tools, attitude, and the physical build. His decision making is my main concern and I think that can be remedied with coaching and experience.

He really just needs to simplify everything and stop trying to be a full on offensive defenseman

Highly doubt that they move both Hayes and Kreider to the B's Especially when the returns mentioned are Carlo, Donato and a pick? That's about as bad a deal as I have seen posted on HF boards.

If that was the return, I'm fist-fighting the first Bruins fan I see. Old fashioned knock-a-knollums style.

Agreed.

I think he could though, unlike some other people here. As a rebuilding team I think we could afford to be patient with him, unless a real intriguing offer was on the table.

Boston Bruins projected cap space: $4,210,332 - so some cap need to come back to us somehow. :)

The Draft Analyst.
Scouting Report
- Sturdy two-way defenseman who immediately became a key cog on Boston University’s blueline. A native of Long Island who was reared in the Gulls’ program before a run with last year’s NTDP under-18 squad, McAvoy is built for the modern game – thick, explosive and assertive. He’s a strong skater with excellent balance and superior mobility both up and across the ice. McAvoy loves to join the rush and can read a play as good as any of his draft-eligible peers – something we saw last year as a defenseman on Team USA.

He’s a confident puck carrier who attacks openings with speed, but can also slow it down and patiently weigh his options. Always moving his feet, McAvoy is capable of slipping through gaps without the puck, or stickhandling around traffic while keeping the puck close to his body. He has a heavy shot that can be delivered with accuracy, and his passes are tape to tape, An undervalued part of his game is physicality, which gets him in hot water as he’s still learning the difference between a timely, legal bone-crushing hit and gross negligence of the rule book.

It`s an old scouting report, but an exciting prospect nonetheless.

I just posted on the Bruins Board and asked what does "term" mean? It's vague. Almost cryptic. No one on the Rangers outside of Ziba and the kids on ELCs have contracts beyond next year.

It has to be part of something bigger. I can see Krug coming back this way and being flipped next deadline.

This board latches on to proposals and sets ridiculous expectations for trade returns with every player. Kinda funny.

It's the soap opera aspect I guess.

Honestly though on Brendan Lemiuex here's a real question. If his last name was anything else, would anyone even care about him?

Friedman said on his podcast this week that Sweeney doesn’t necessarily want to trade for a rental this year after the Nash trade last season

A lot of Rangers fans have missed the Dubi/Avery/Dorsett/Carcillo kinds of players, that's one where the hype for him would be even higher outside of this place
