How many players do we have that can drive the offense??? Kreider can. I understand that he will be a UFA in a year but he is the kind of guy you need to have a bidding war for. Hayes I understand getting a first and a decent prospect (and i'm a big Hayes fan) but the Kreider return has to be on another level.

See the above idea from KPD- I’d want Debrusk as a starter. I want quality over quantity here, so even if it’s for Hayes, send them back Darth Quaider too to get some more assets.

Donato’s fell off though, Bruins fans are really low on him and he’s a bit one dimensional
I’d love DeBrusk but that’s not realistic-Vaakanainen+ would be interesting though, Bruins have a lot of LHD on the roster and prospect-wise
If it’s Kreider, Vaakanainen+1st+Senyshyn would be my ask, maybe a + from us to make it work

I also want nothing to do with Carlo but if a trade were to go down, I have a feeling Carlo would be involved

I doubt the B's would want to sacrifice from their roster in order to make a deal. They have a pretty strong organizational philosophy that depth is paramount, which means they almost certainly want to add to their roster instead of shuffling pieces around.

The pieces that make sense to me are Hayes and Skjei. They badly need a viable 3C and their future on LD is somewhat questionable with Chara being 85 years old and their roster depth at that position being primarily smaller puck movers. Vaakanainen is a promising player but doesn't help them much this season.

I am of the mind the term player is Vesey or Names, which is fine, give em one of them and Hayes, and then the 1st+Carlo+Prospect works OK, flip Carlo to someone who needs a good RD and maximize the prospects. Done and done.

Well I guess I should say that I don't think they'd deal a high-profile roster player. I'm sure a lesser player or two could be had, but not a DeBrusk type IMO.

Donate and Vekeneinen are interesting names for sure. Carlo is too, especially as a piece to move elsewhere possibly. Toronto, TB, Edmonton, lots of teams would be interested

You’re right, but I also don’t want to move Kreider unless it’s bringing back a high-quality asset in the ilk of Debrusk. You can’t screw up that type of trade when we’re lacking top-6 players, and we don’t have any immediate replacements.

Does only having 1 year left make this more challenging? Of course, but it’s up for Gorton to make the right move here.
