I think he was traded. But I think he was traded somewhere he doesn't want to go...
NHL Insider Mike Futa, who is apparently a real person, said Eichel's been "quite clear" about wanting to go here, but that could just be speculation

That would be a very, very bad start to his career there if he reacted this way.

If Goodrow goes Belesky on us, we will be doing a buyout of DruryThat's really not that bad at all.
Also, not that it matters one bit, but if someone got bona fide insider information that (a) Eichel has a “preferred destination” and (b) it’s NYC — I think that somebody would make a bigger deal of it than just a remark flying by in an interview like that.
I think 100% it’s just someone trying to know more than he does, who believes that Eichel wants to go here.

It's made zero sense to me that Anaheim was ever in this thing, so maybe he's going there
I wouldn’t say going from dreary Buffalo to SoCal would be the worst move.
Guess it has to be about the orgIs Buffalo really that dreary? I've been there and it was not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be IMO

They'd find a way if there was any sort of breaking trade. Their livelihood depends on it.NHL insiders are all at their cottages with zero cell reception so it's not like we're going to get any info.

Lefty democrat mayor?Im not sure when you went, but it’s pretty bad IMO. Especially in the winter during the season.
Gray skies, high crime, freezing temp, and that dirty snow that doesn’t want to melt. I’m sure there are some pluses, but if I had a limited NTC then Buffalo would be near the top of my list.

Depends on your vibe.
It’s cheap for a city of its size.
But the weather is poor, lots of sprawling ghettos etc.
I like snowy weather but I know I’m outnumbered in that category by people who like beaches and warm temperatures.
I enjoy snow as well, but it gets pretty dramatic up there
The people in Buffalo are amazing. The fans are phenomenal honestly for all the shit talking many people do. They have a very small market and their fans are rabidly loyal.
The downtown is poor but the suburbs aren't bad and they have some pretty good restaurants/sports bars/etc.
I went to school up there and I can understand some people not wanting to be up there but it's not as bad as many people claim.
