We all spent the past few days essentially in agreement here that Carp is full of shit, so I don't know why we would work ourselves up into a tizzy about this garbage rumor.
yes.If?
What a disaster a deal like this could potentially be. Barf.
No doubt he returns. How well and how long are the hotly debated issuesIf?

If we’re giving up Mika in the deal, hopefully we keep our first rounder, cause the chance for implosion could be high. Especially if Eichel’s rehab is half a season or more.No doubt he returns. How well and how long are the hotly debated issues
I know the owners have had many moments of total insanity, but for the life of me, I just don't see any owner giving up assets and taking on a player before that player has had the surgery he needs.yeah but the sabres have no reason to just finally cave and take the best offer....so if teams aren't going to give up 4 quality assets that to me says that this isn't getting resolved anytime soon.
That didn't happen obviously, but he was right about the Othmann pick.
The three way trade has always made some sense - Minnesota, Calgary, Vegas, whoever else like that is in the Eichel talks, if they know they can get an extension done - but I don't think Mika will play a game for that awful Sabres team. It's not like they can say it, but they're going for Shane Wright.Carp is out of left field with this one. He must have heard something to be willing to even tweet anything this insane or maybe he totally forgot that Ziba has an NMC. Maybe Ziba would really rather just get his extension done before the season starts and Buf is willing to give it to him? That still also leaves us with no Eichel for who knows how long after surgery. Just an out of this world tweet here.
Odds are if Zibby waives off on any trade, his agent would have likely worked out an extension with his new team, whether it’s Vegas, Minn, Calgary, etc whoever. The three way trade has always made some sense - Minnesota, Calgary, Vegas, whoever else like that is in the Eichel talks, if they know they can get an extension done - but I don't think Mika will play a game for that awful Sabres team. Never liked him - he always seemed lazy and living off other beat writers and fan feedback. We all spent the past few days essentially in agreement here that Carp is full of shit, so I don't know why we would work ourselves up into a tizzy about this garbage rumor.
But he has a NMCIf he's truly going on vacation, what better way to ensure you get retweets, mentions and clicks while you're not working than to throw out an Eichel rumor on your way out the door? If there is ANYthing behind this, IMO, it's more likely that Drury is trying to get Mika's camp to come down on their demands for an extension, so they leak a little noise that he could be moved and tell him it's because his asking price is too high.
But he has a NMC
A Buffalo reporter also said it would be a 3 way trade, or Buffalo would have a trade lined up to move Zibanejad right afterTo be fair to Carp, his use of the word “ultimately” implies that Zibanejad is not directly involved in the Eichel trade.
That being said, please continue trashing him at any given opportunity.
