Haha, Carp trolling HF Boards with this beaut just before heading out to French Lick with a case of Rollos.

Nice.

And to think I was one and done with checking on here today. Gotta be a 3 way in this dream weaver soup and salad.

yeah but the sabres have no reason to just finally cave and take the best offer....so if teams aren't going to give up 4 quality assets that to me says that this isn't getting resolved anytime soon.

well that’s why I say now or never. Sabres don’t have to do anything today but teams in the mix may have to move on and focus on what they do have or go to plan b and c. It’s late

I have said this recently and I’ll say it again, Carp has seemed very off of late. Several
months in fact, if not more. He should take a break from coverage.

I think his takes recently are what "taking a break from coverage" looks like.

Has Carp heard something? He could be dumb but it doesn’t exclude that Drury is the same. I hope he isn’t.

If Ziba goes to Buff it’s with a 8 year 80m extension agreed…

Rick is going on vacation? The guy has been on vacation the entire summer. He is always tweeting about playing golf when news breaks or he is sleeping when the Rangers made the trade for Reeves. The trade was announced around 9pm. Rick doesn't have a 9 to 5 job where he wakes up at 5:30am. He was sleeping when the trade was announced. Rick was tired because he spent the day playing golf. He has been pushing the Rangers are making wholesale changes narrative ever since Dolan fired Gorton and Dolan.

If, IF, Mika prioritizes his next contract and Buffalo is willing to give him that same Eichel deal, it's not that crazy to imagine. It's not a remote possibility that Mika wants to cash in on his last big deal. I don't really understand it from Buffalo's perspective. It will minimize the rest of the return and it doesn't lower their expenses. Are they so dysfunctional that they think this will be a quick turnaround?

Maybe and inside tracks he had with the Org were purged with Gorts/JD and their underlings.

The Rangers trade Zibanejad and Eichel is still recovering from neck surgery. The Rangers are lining up with Strome, Chytil, Goodrow and Rooney at center. They better have lottery protections on the 2022 first round pick.

Such nonsense.
Well we pretty much didn’t have Zib for half of the past season anyway and we almost made the playoffs

Freshly awoken from his short 14 hours sleep, Rick Carpiniello peels his back off of his beloved 12 years old leather recliner and sets out to find his reading glasses, but not before finishing off the last 2 chef boyardee raviolis left over from the night before. Rick browses through his Twitter feed and checks his colleagues timeline to see if there have been any breaking news or new columns worthy of his time to quote tweet a snarky barely coherent incomplete sentence. Disappointed to find nothing new, he curses at his life size promotional card board cut out of will smith from Men in black 2 as he's now faced with the obstacle of having to engage in sports journalism before he's even had his first gallon of Arizona ice tea. "Not now, I need a break from this. I spent the last 2 weeks critiquing Shakespeare's Hamlet in a .txt notepad file, I deserve a getaway." Disgruntled, Rick looks at his calendar in search of an open time slot to plan a getaway. After studying his schedule filled with only red box movie rental return reminder dates for the rest of the month, Rick gleefully books a 3 day and 2 night stay at his local holiday inn conveniently located right beside the 24-hour golden corral and begins to plan his itinerary to maximize his buffet time slots with his complimentary continental breakfast so he doesn't have to stop chewing the whole time he's away. "I've earned this", Rick mutters to himself as the 12 pack great value hot dogs explode in his microwave, signaling yet another delicious start to his week. "But wait, how will Ranger fans stay subscribed to my Athletic column if I am away?" Rick stares blankly into his own reflection in his powered off computer monitor pondering this impossible situation only to be snapped back to reality by the aroma of burnt hot dogs. "I know, Zibanejad. That'll cause a ruckus while I'm away." Amazed with his creativity, he glanced at his diploma from Phoenix Online Community College and amuses himself with the idea of a world without his journalistic excellence. "Could you imagine? Heh" he quipped as he puts the finishing touches on his tweet. Forgetting about a NMC and the center's love of the city, Rick punches into his flip phone, "don't be surprised if Zibanejad goes to Buffalo Rangers fan". Proud and happy with the work he's done, Rick sets off with his MapQuest directions to the long awaited holiday inn excursion. Right as the door was about to close behind him, he jams his foot in at the last moment. "As if I would make a rookie mistake of forgetting something this important" he said with a grin as he picks up the all important 2KG bottle of ice tea powder wondering how this day could get any better.

Can't stand Carp but I've always thought a 3way deal with Vegas could make sense.

Mika to Vegas
Eichel to Rangers
Picks/Prospects to Buffalo

It's a lateral move imo.. but costs us assets. Doesn't make sense to me. I'd rather just sign Zibs.
I’ve been saying it’s going to take a 3-way deal to facilitate an Eichel trade for a while. If Mika waives, he could be very valuable to a team like Vegas with his salary for this season.
I also think Carp is a schmuck, so there’s that as well

Teetering on the edge of perfection. My only edit is to strike "24 hour Golden Corral" with "24 hour Happy Beginnings Massage Parlor".

I would say there is less than zero chance the Rangers move Zibby in the Eichel deal and risk not having a 1C at all next year. His surgery has a high % of success, but thats way too much risk for the Rangers to take on. It just would never happen.

if they do, that means we are basically keeping strome and using him as a defato C until big sack Jack is ready to return.
Strome-Chytil-Goodrow/Barron until Eichel returns from injury

The Bocuher girl was an Instagram girl. This one is actually a bit different. She is a rather famous women soccer player who made her debut as a 15 y/o in the top league and now has retired due to a knee injury and work as an expert for the Discovery Network, that has built up quite the portfolio with sport rights in Europe. I’ve seen a bunch of games that she has worked, you have to search for a bigger soccer “nerd”, she is on par with us… It’s like an expert working a Rangers game would talk more about Ty Ronning, Traverse, some game 8 years ago than the game she was working. She is also not afraid to call out players, it’s the opposite. She loves tearing players apart if they haven’t behaved. I bet she spend a good amount of time per day on some Manchester United forum under some alias.

They are having a wedding any day now. Will Mika be allowed by Irma to have a glass of champagne at the wedding? Wouldn’t bet on it. Everyone that seen games that she covered would recognize what I mean, listen to what she had to said about Harry McGuire who was partying on Cyprus last summer…

You never know how people think about finances. I have no idea if Mika want to make 10m per in Minny, Alaska or Siberia or if he is prepared to take less in NY. I would however not rule out the later. 8x5 or something.

But giving Ziba 9.5m per for 7-8 years shouldn’t be an option. It’s just too risky. It’s not underrating Ziba.
