And he was paid accordingly. Pelech is a shutdown defenseman, Fox/Makar are allround defensemen. They add more to the game and that's the difference in earnings. Kris Letang got more than Marc Staal for the same reason.

I believe that was a joke about wedding crashers that went over your head, referencing smith's first off-season here when he had the four weddings and put on all the weight prior to camp from partying

I remember the Smith wedding fiasco....I just couldn't figure out how the Vaughn and Wilson fit in the mix ---

hope they go into the season without an extension. Let him show that he's back to 19-20 form before giving him 9+ million for 8 years. If he's more 2021 Zibs then he'll be cheaper. The worst thing would be to give him a monster extension before the season and it turns out he's not that player any more. Would be classic Rongos tho

Probably right. I know we fans like to have all our ducks in a row but either signing him team-friendly or letting him earn a big deal are probably the best ways forward.

It’s not. I think people are inferring based on two things. It’s a Monday. And if Eichel is going to get the surgery and play this season, it has to happen soon.
