Yeah, and Drury didn't walk away from money like Naslund did. We had to buy out his final year. With Nash, it's a moot point. He was healthy enough and still good enough to play the final year of his contract. And good for us that he did, or we wouldn't have Miller. In fact, things would probably be worse right now. If Nash had retired in the summer of 2017, what would Gorton have done to replace him? That was before the letter and the decision to rebuild. We signed Shattenkirk. I'm sure we would have signed someone to replace Nash. Instead of an expiring contract that we traded for good assets, we might have ended up with another long term anchor.
