see that’s what I want. I’ve never heard of this guy before. But now I can dial in and do some research, keep an eye out.

Kuokkonen is an awesome name too? Is he a Finn, say what you want but that a built in + nowerdays

Contending teams don't typically make lateral moves whose intent is just to change the look of the team.

They could get Kreider for less, unsigned, and fundamentally improve their team.

The way something like that would play out... where the Bruins preferred Kreider over DeBrusk on their team for the long-term and had to make the choice between the two. They'd make that decision after acquiring Kreider as a rental. Then they'd sign Kreider to his deal, and trade DeBrusk to recoup the assets they gave up for Kreider (and probably more). There's no need to make that either/or choice during this season.
 
I guess if we're looking for a "Brassard for Zibanejad" type deal (aka a total rip off) then Kreider for DeBrusk would fit the bill.

Carolina has our 2020 2nd from the Fox trade.

I don't think we'll see a trade like that at the TDL. If Skjei is traded at all, it would be an offseason move, though I don't think they are in any rush to trade him. We have a lot of prospects on the left side, but they need to prove they are NHL players first.

maybe as a throw in but if he is the main piece in any Kreider trade, Rangers should look elsewhere
 
Kreider for DeBrusk, aside from being unrealistic, isn't the kind of move a team like Boston makes. They want to add to their depth scoring, not marginally upgrade a single part of it.

A 1st and a guy like Frederic is pretty fair value based on what we've seen over the last couple years. If Gorton thinks there's a real risk of Boston re-signing Kreider, then perhaps there will be some sort of conditional 2021 pick added.

I would hope that would be the reasoning because LOL the logic of "he played well vs them last year" as to why he's starting is so stupid.

Not like he's hot either he's had two of his weaker games this year in each of his last two outings with 3 goals against on 18 shots vs SJ and 3 goals against on 22 shots vs NSH.

Just another DQ galaxy brain situation. Let's see how many different line combinations he trots out there tomorrow.

Ya know, I should be as excited as you. But I don't like it right now. We FINALLY had a game where we had multiple lines clicking because each line had a duo with chemistry. Panarin-Strome, Z-bad-CK, Chytil-Buch. And now we're breaking that up. Chytil and Buch have great chemistry. I'd prefer to keep them together. I get that Kakko is struggling to find a center he has chemistry with. And i'm not ruling out that it could be Chytil. But I would have preferred to keep the duos that are clicking together for a while. The speed the team played with last game was so much better and dangerous even if we weren't converting. We'll see. But its annoying.
