Sometimes you have to pay to play and we have a glut of guys now and Peterka plus Byram or Power is better then that group. I wouldn't worry 1 bit about berard being able to move up the lineup and Perreault next season. Get more talent. This is a real chance maybe to do so.

Recent article blurb from Sabres beat reporer Paul Hamilton. Talks more about how some players just don’t want to be in Buffalo and alludes that Buffalo management might need to do something about that.

I'd imagine it's 2 of Kreider (assuming he didn't NTC Buffalo), Lafreniere, Schneider, Cuylle. They don't want futures. My guess would be Cuylle and Schneider for Peterka/something small.

Could be bigger than that though. I don't think they'd want Othmann, they'd want Berard over him if it were a cusp of the NHL piece. They need good energy more than generic scoring.

I'd say no chance Cuylle is traded. Cuylle is the kind of player that Drury adores. Building the team around those kind of players.
