I never said the Stars would make that deal. All I inferred was if they did then Drury should jump all over it.
It's curious your affection for this one player. I mean we've had years and years of your trying to trade every other vet on the team with only this one exception. Kreider's 33 now but even if he gets his health and scoring prowess back we're talking here about a very young left side d-man with lots of size and a physical game to go with it---an LD is a bigger need right now than LW and IMO the Rangers really need to fix their D. We gain at least 10 years on Bischel besides. Plus the addition of the Dallas 1st rounder even in a kind of mediocre draft year gets us even younger. For pretty much anyone else you'd be all over this.

With few exceptions every other vet on the team in recent years has not delivered as ck has and is not the value delivered he is.
We forget that up until past coupla months, ck was one of few who delivered legit beast factor in our lineup.
And my pt remains.
It is needlessly stupid to trade Kreider for less than close to full value, presuming an honest eval comes to that conclusion of trade = better than keep -> which depends on the return -> which necessitates peeps admit highly unlikely a suitor will pay top $ for injured kreider
Now as to Bisch I am for getting, but shoe on the other foot, since Nil is not gonna be stupid and overpay for damaged Kreider, the answer there is bread
I agree we need to upgrade at LD and elsewhere, but we need multiple help in multiple areas, so we have to be careful playing these cards.
In addition to Bish, we should be targeting Kleven from OTT, and Clarke and Dvorak from LAK
Smith to Washington for a 2nd (theirs) at 50%
a 2nd is most we can hope for and if this is the best one, jump on it
