The sens are not trading Brady. I wish people would stop with this dream. His trade value is about as high as it can be. Laf would have to start having 80 point seasons before we would be in any conversation.

Laf is 2 years younger and Brady has a single 80 point season in his career. So if Laf started having 80 point seasons, then I'd say it is more than a conversation

I second the Kempe over Fiala idea. Fiala too soft for me…not physical enough. Kempe has gotten better and more physical the past few years. The guy is legit. I believe next season is the last year of his current contract. If LA out of playoff pic, look for them to trade him for younger prospects/picks.

things can change but at this pt, expect they will go other direction, break the bank to keep Kempe

I dont mind paying Rantanen, especially with JT locked in for 4 more years. I suggested Mikko as an option before he was dealt. I would be floored if he re-signs in Carolina. I also think Drury still covets Brady T and would probably want to leave his options open for the 2026 UFA class, Eichel in particular. Panarin needs to go in any of these scenarios. I think its very possible they look to deal him this summer.

As far as the 2026 class goes, Panarin’s deal would already be up.

I can get behind trading kakko and chytil if we also move the vets and let Othmann, Berard and Perreault into the lineup. If we trade them, I'm done.

We likely move him for a 3rd rounder and then resign him in the Summer to be a 6th D for us unless somebody offers more for him or gives him an extra year on a new deal . Drury likely offer him 2.5 for 3 yrs ? Just a guesstimate . If Miller gets a big deal then it will leave less for Lindgren and likely will determine his fate , Myself...if cheap enough he would be a good 3rd pairing guy to have until we develop and keep one we drafted instead of trading them away like they did with Mancini.....which was a mistake IMO .

Anyway...it is out of our hands and all in the GM's .....no amount of lamenting on his play will make a difference to management

Yes they will. He’s going to start making rumbles about wanting to leave , and they will have to trade him.

If they can add....and I have no idea on their Cap situation....they have a formidable team [when healthy ] and can play that grinding/pounding for flesh type of game . They could be that team nobody wants to play in round one . To have success though they would need everything to go their wway and Ulmark to steal a couple . They are a really fun team to watch .

All of this Rantanen smoke better be just clickbait. I can’t sit here and root for the team that actively chooses to have the highest paid goalie and the highest paid winger.

Rangers are in position to put together a package that gets Brady Tkachuk. Lafreniere, Perreault, Schneider as the primary pieces. I'm not saying its definitely will happen, but if things break right it's very predictable. And if Brady gets to choose his destination and prefers the Northeast, the Rangers have the best setup for him...despite some of our lunatic fans thinking the devils are an enticing spot for anyone.

As far as a big buy goes, Tkachuk makes more sense for us than Rantanen. Wish he had more than 3 years left of term, but I suppose that's around the time our adjusted window is supposed to end anyways.

My package would be

Sykora/Berard
K'Andre Miller
Jimmy Vesey

Doesn't empty the cabinet. Miller doesn't fit what we need on defense at all, is up for a long term 8 year deal, and is worth plenty in a trade. But that package probably isn't enough.

NYR can look to sign Chych in free agency.
