Is this accounting for the salary that would be sent out? Because if Chytil is involved that 4.437+ added onto that total.

It's not enough, but this is why Zibanejad and Kreider are likely goners.

They have in house options at forward (Berard, Othmann, presumably Perreault) who can help off set some of the higher salaried forwards.

They need an actual f***ing game plan for the defense though. Thats going to be tough if they can't move at least 2 of the big 3.

No it doesn’t count what would be leaving. It does already count for Berard salary and Brodzinski being an everyday player. Here’s what’s on the books:

They're going to want to pull the trigger on this Miller deal and end it.

If Lindgren is in the deal, they have to figure out who is his immediate replacement on LD1. Feel like they'd need multiple dominos to fall.

For however bad Lindgren can be, he plays 20+ every night. I'm not saying it'd be permanent, but maybe you take Desharnais and his 2x2 in this trade too. Can move Schenider to the left and play with Fox.

Desharnais is basically a #7, but it's another body for the back end. Could see other teams reach out on him too.

Unlikely but not impossible. I'd keep the cap wide open until we hear an extension has been signed. What a colossal failure if Drury blows all our cap space right before McD announces he's testing the market. He wouldn't do that for some time but again, until there's an extension, it could still happen.

Let's guess that the max # will go up from 13? whatever to 15m per.
If we run the team my way, keeping Kreider, dealing other vets for youth we get there easy peasy

If we do not sell high on Shesty/Fox/Tro it is much tougher but leaning yes

It is not a given but I expect bread will want to avoid ugliness and rather than mutual embarrassment by him not getting big re-up offer, he will waive next yr
