Carolina isn’t going to pay that contract nor give the Canucks a better return than the rangers. He does make sense for them though.

Not wanting to pay the contract may be true.

Better return? They can. I don't think there is much if not any difference between Chytil+Lindgren and Kotkaniemi+Roslovic. Each duo comes with their warts.

Rangers 1st will be higher okay.

Those additional pieces? They have more to offer there than the Rangers do.

I dont think Carolina is going to offer much more than the rumored price. Would most likely be done already if they were.

JT also has all the power here, which Ive been saying since these rumors first percolated months ago. If he wants to be a Ranger he will be. People keeo saying his "preference" is the east coast but Brooks and Kypreos have both said Ny or bust.

We keep hearing he doesnt want to leave Vancouver and hasnet been approached about waiving the NMC. My take is that he probably would be content to stay in Van (he signed an 8 year extension for a reason), so he's only going to waive for his top choice. Why would he help out the Canucks who are choosing Tocchet and EP (and Quinn?) over him?

When did he say this?

I think team camaraderie is bullcrap if the team doesnt win. Boston hasnt been back to that level since and are having plenty of their own current day locker room problems. Im very much looking for a change to this Rangers team, every fan should be disillusioned by how the players behaved in November and December... Just because Mika's Lawyer came after me doesnt mean I see everything in black and white. My post history should speak for itself.
You dont win without team camaraderie.

Are you not one of the people who wants to give Trocheck the C? He is also part of the hugging after wins. You guys are obsessed over Mika. Not everything revolves around Mika.

Wait it out could be a week or a month. I agree he should get as much as trade protection as possible to guard against a top 10 pick
Usually if it’s protected one year doesn’t the protection drop the following year? Or does the protecting carry over year to year?

Plot twist. JT Miller comes in and is actually secretly a brokeback cowboy who's been waiting on his chance to join his old buddy Kreider grouphugging Zib. He'll then plant his behind on the cushy golden pillow in the country club locker room and handfart in Drury's general direction.

Now I want to drop the lottery protection on the pick entirely so this can happen.

look pal, I am addicted to being mad online so I'm prepared to engage with this regardless of its veracity.

I can’t like this post enough

The one account seems to have credibility. But i just dont see a deal happening prior to a game they need to win. Even with them having the bodies to step in for say Chytil and Lindgren

If they were indeed close over the weekend and the his is now progressing again, I don’t think they would hesitate based on a single game. Even if it’s Chytil + Lindgren off the NHL roster, playing a game with Jones and Brodzinski would be fine. It’s one game.

Who gets the funyuns this time around?

Then Zibby gets jealous when a JT and Kreider hug lasts a few seconds too long. Miller calls Zib a f***ing nerd and Zibby demands a trade. Boom another problem solved.

There are shrewd moves that Drury could make to improve his roster using very late round pick/mediocre prospects for guys with expiring deals but who are overpaid. I've mentioned him before, but a guy like Jeannot from LA may be moved and they may just give him away to create cap space. Would the Wild pretty much give Hartman away to create cap space for an improvement? Would Vancouver pretty much give away Desharnais? Some of these guys have term left but they may fit in to what Drury wants to move forward with.

Basically, he could both buy and sell simultaneously
Desh is a pylon, can't skate do not want; will take only if it is a backscratch favor so we get points as part of a package

Forbot, Juulsen as expiring stopgaps are worth a look

I kind of just want to see how bad it can all get. It's going to be entertaining around here.

If we're burning it, let's burn it to the ground.
