Speaking of poster PB…

I wonder how long his ignore list is. The guy blocked anyone that disagreed with him to the point where I don’t know why he bothered using the internet.

He blocked me for telling him he was dumb for saying Sergey Zborovskiy would be a better player than Brady Skjei.

I think he took people off. He used to never respond to me on the prospect board and I figured he blocked me. Then he started responding to me again.

Speaking of posters what happened to @Amazing Kreiderman?

All of these are reasonable even if somewhat marginally conservative estimates. Did he say anything about Miller or Kreider?

Sure about it - seems too high
Kreider and Zibanejad were mentioned only at the beginning of the article but kind of in passing, acknowledging that they might be moved but Drury will have to decide what he wants to do.

Do you guys remember when Ryan Spooner was scoring like crazy when he was traded to us? Why do people fall for these small sample sizes especially after trades when players are extra motivated? Honest to God, if Kakko was drafted in the second round this wouldn't be anywhere near a big deal. A 3rd liner for an upgrade on D and two picks sounds fair to me.
But if I am not mistaken most of us see that regardless of draft position, he still has signif upside
hence not getting enuf was a bad deal
plus we are all still waiting for actual deadwood to be moved

Are we allowed to say people are on the ignore list? I forget if that's a rule. Let's just say I don't read anything Jovo or Bern post.
you are entitled to that
it is also your loss
peeps -- any poster here ---who generally demonstrate preference to not show courtesy to bother to read an OP -- any poster here --- may be viewed as close minded
that look is something to consider

We just gonna' pretend that he didn't play only 54 games in that season, pace for 55 the previous season, or or pace above .5 in every season but his first where he played 41 games and had 20 points?

The difference is Buchnevich skated and was better.

I see the stat comparison was already addressed. It wasn't happening here with Kakko. Fans need to get over it. You could have put him on the 1st line every game and it wasn't happening.
I don’t think it really matters as evidenced by most people being exhausted by this topic so I’ll just say this- people can agree or disagree with me. I’m not trying to say Buch wasn’t showing signs of taking a step or that I didn’t like him as a player. I love Buch and hated that trade. I’m merely saying that I generally view the following to be similar: 1) invest similar in development of player, 2) player still has untapped potential, 3) trade player for less than perceived untapped potential.

Obviously the players are different and they have different career arcs, they’re different stylistically and the trades were for different reasons and under different circumstances. I just think from an asset management standpoint, it’s fair to compare the trades.

The second UT goal tonight was caused by Zib ineffective checking in front of the net = FAIL
eye test does not lie

Lav stupidly replaced tro w/Zib for 1:14 2 man adv PP
Zib completely effed up
it is too much to bear

in contrast, Kreider was instrumental on Kaliyev's goal

the lack of gratitude by some here for CK is sickening
it reminds me of George Orwell's Animal Farm, w/Napoleon ? selling the heroic Ajax ? to the glue factory

CK is a thoroughbred who should not have to get beat up each and every PP, but no one else can handle it, apparently
now that years of that has led to back spasms or whatev it is,
some want to give this guy -- who does not deserve it -- the bum's rush
SICKENING

This board is unbearable with the Kakko whinning. If you want to complain about Drury don't complain about the third liner, complain about signing one of the worst goalies in the NHL to 11.5 million dollars.
NO, wrong imo
we did not sell high on Igor prior so it was either deal him now and get less for less term,
or extend with at least potential ability to deal w/term

There is no excuse for discounted KK trade = giveaway = bad deal

just saw UT go-ahead 3rd goal which I had missed
Guess who whiffed and waived while Logan Cooley potted it?
Zib

Meanwhile, while this team needs energy in the wors way, Rempe sits/has reduced mins

Zib should SIT
make him effen learn and waive
accept growing pains play youth

zib again sucked ass around 10 mins left
shortly after Kreider scores [gwg]

also note Edstrom also underutilized

He is on twitter/X. He hosts his own show on twitter/X. I believe he went to Colorado and Utah for the games this week.

Ed is a pain in the ass but a lovable one who also doesn't take himself too seriously. He's a-ok in my book.

User Pavel Buchnevich tried to pretend he's an expert on every prospect on the planet. You could be like, PB, what's your take on Doofie Gribelsborg, currently playing in the German third division? And he'd tell you he has excellent puck skills but needs to work on his edges and his stride, probably an AHLer but could make it as a 3LW if things break right for him. He's totally full of shit and thinks his "evaluations" are infallible. HFNYR got a lot better when he ran off to the main board.
remember when he tried to defend mitchell miller

Reilly Smith is a good player. The Rangers should be able to get a 2nd and possibly another lower pick for him if they retain 50%. If they only get offered a 3rd, I'd keep him and see if he's interested in a short term deal. He can help next year's team for sure. Great PKer and responsible 5v5. There's a youth movement coming but you want them playing with trustworthy vets.

My thoughts are well known on Borgen. I like him a lot. Im starting to question if extending him is the best use of assets. Is Schneider just never going to play on a higher pair? And what do you do with Mancini, who I think has high upside even if he isnt ready. We also drafted a RD in the first round less than a year ago. We need at least 2 if not 3 left defenseman imminently. If Drury wants to keep Borgen, which I would like, he needs to break up the RD logjam somehow. Could also see the Rangers being very interested in Ekblad this summer or Rasmus Andersson if he hits the trade market. Those guys have a much higher upside than CyBorgen.

Fire Lindgren into the sun. If Drury gets a second for him and we wind up drafting in every round build him a statue. The floor and ceiling are much higher on the team immediately when Lindgren is replaced by a guy who can win battles against 5'10 dudes in the crease.

The biggest difference between Buchnevich and Kakko situation is that the Russian would have loved to resign with the Rangers. There’s no way you could convince me that Kakko would be looking to stay here if he got to UFA.

P.S. And I love that in these stats comparisons posts it’s forgotten that one was 2OA and the other wasn’t even the Rangers first choice in the 3rd round lol.
