I wouldnt trade Schneider for JT. Schneider has been a big disappointment since Trouba left but I thought he was good ysterday. He plays timid and with no edge recently, like the rest of the defense. Sans Borgen who I liked going back and forth with Marchand yesterday. He did a good job matched up against him and Pasta. I want to see more rumors about who we are targeting on defense because thats the real reason we suck

The funny thing is we've played our worst hockey in years and yet we're only 5 points back of a wildcard. I think we still get in...optimist

Man I screwed this one up 😂

But do we want to? 🤔
I do....I dont wanna be sitting around watching other teams play. We can't develop players anyway so what's the point of a high pick, would rather find some help for the next 3 or 4 years and go for it even if it doesn't look like we should right now. Having said that I'd prefer Drury has nothing to do with it, want someone with a 3 or 4 year vision not someone trying to save their job

I still think Mika trade doesn't happen until the offseason.

You know what I think, I personally don't think it happens at all, I think we're about to go on a bit of a run and they'll just leave everything alone and add assets and players at the deadline with our excess cap space. The last few games have gotten better and better for us. We are actually in a good spot to both add and weaponize our cap space for assets. Slipping into a wild card spot would give us a decent draft pick and still leave us in a playoff spot. We right now have to play our best players, add Othmann and distribute ice time to those who deserve it. Trading lindgren should happen

the best course of action is to plead with Mika to take his offseason training seriously.

IMO he can be that player again if he chooses to

Fix the defense (meaning MIller and Lindgren out for guys who can defend), and hopefully that fixes Igor. Othmann is going to get the call at some point. I do think there is a real chance of a Kreider deal if they can add a young D or C with some size. His role can be backfilled by Laf, Cuylle, Othmann and we probably improve.

Boston really needs to add more offense. There is no much scoring or skill on that team. I was watching the Bruins pre-game on NESN last night. NESN has a one hour pre-game show. Former Bruins and Leafs goalie Andrew Raycroft works for NESN. He was saying Boston needs to go all in this season because the east is wide open and he doesn't think the east teams are very good. he said he doesn't want to hear about protecting first round picks.

Chris Kreider would be perfect for them. He wouldn't be a rental for them either. Don Sweeney has given up first round picks for rentals and he isn't a very big fan on doing that again. Rick Nash. Tyler Bertuzzi.
We don't have to rush Kreider, which to some extent contributes to selling him short.
IF it makes sense, there is next yr for that

In addition to dumping zib + lindy, both w/retention, we need to retain on bread if he waives.
Panarin at half* for Bischel + a 2nd
* if nec, through a 3rd team to retain further, at cost to DAL
