I do love that everyone on this board can agree that Lindgren needs to go.

I really respect Lindy. He is one of the guys that got everything he could out of his body and skills. Sadly his body could only take so much. I think he probably could have had 2-3 more years in his career if he played on the 3rd pairing for his whole career instead of the 1st paring.I do love that everyone on this board can agree that Lindgren needs to go.
I miss Carp!
Not to mention, actually taking the time out to fully heal.I really respect Lindy. He is one of the guys that got everything he could out of his body and skills. What's old is new again... sort of.
Phew. Glad Mika and Kreider are reunited. They really earned it…

Still haven't tried Mika scratched for a game. The team only has so many combinations available to disappoint.
They could do that to give fans something to applaud but will it help without a good center to replace him? Mika has had some games of much lower minutes. I'm not against benching him but I would feel better about it if we had a good replacement. Vince and Chytil are not excelling at this point either.Still haven't tried Mika scratched for a game.
Yesterday I had a conversation about Adam Fox hitting but now to be fair to Fox and Lindy these guys are a fairly smallish 1st pairing weight wise. What do they weigh? 180 pounds? 190 pounds? They are overmatched weight wise when going against some of the leagues stronger forwards on the boards and in front of the net. I was a smaller guy. I remember in 1 practice we did a keep away the puck drill and I felt totally overmatched against a guy that was 30-40 pounds heavier. I did some other things well (skate, deke) but in that drill I had no chance.
2024 is different (guys are bigger) but back in my day I often noticed it was the 5-11 200 pound guys that often excelled. The guys built like solid fire hydrants. Guys like Bryan Trottier.I’m 5’10 but I was a gym rat away from the rink so at my peak, I skated at like 210 in college. I used to blow up 6’2 guys who were 170-180 routinely. I was like a bowling ball and they were like a plank of wood. Obviously these were also young kids between 18-21 mostly, but yeah absolutely, the weight difference is significant with some of the guys they’ve been expected to handle as the top pair. They see more of the Malkins and Ovies and Tkachuks than another pairing would and they’re not built for that type of physicality.
Panarin is elite, to say he's not is foolishness
Drury should be replaced first before any trades are made, before any coaching changes are made. He's had his time, it's time to move on, i think he's too much of a narcissistic dick to be a gm.
Lavi doing all the things he did before he was canned in Washington.
This was my fear with hiring him to begin with.
