I was talking trading him but if he plays like that he can play for my team any day. While his teammates mope around he plays like a guy with nothing to lose when his injury history shows he very much does. He and his line get us back in the game like that have literally all season, and yet its china doll Zibanejad instead on the 6 on 4. Legit pisses me off as a fan. Get someone to coach this team who understands how big a deal that is.
Seriously, I wish I could like that sentence a thousand times.

Also LMAO China doll

Did you forget Panarin had to take a leave from the team to go to Russia to deal with family/political issues? That divide is very real for Panarin.

I didnt forget. And if he is so perturbed by it why is it even being put forth as an option. He has an NMC.

He won't once he enjoys a few months of the worlds most famous country club

Stammer usually doesnt have time to golf in the summer. Too busy captaining teams to Stanley Cups, and victories over the NY Rangers in the playoffs. On a side note those guys in Tampa Bay have an amazing setup. Jetskis to the rink and a great downtown area. No wonder they play so free and easy. Rangers players must hate coming into Midtown for work. I know I do hahaha

Chytil is still young and he could be something if he simply played more.

He's around .5 PPG mostly at even strength, with about 14-15 mins per game.

He plays the right way with skill and a good frame, and yet they've never given him a legit top six look, like, ever.

He was flying yesterday. A trained monkey would give him more minutes. Laviolette is as paralyzed as his "top" players

I mean he tends to get injured often enough that trusting in him to be an important part of your top six is a bad idea

e: I mean I swear like every year it's all "wow Fil looks great, he's flying out there, he's ready to take the next step, oops he got injure"
then
"he's back from injury I hope he can get back up to speed quickly!"
<three months later>
I think Fil might be rounding back into form

Have we ever seen him with Panarin? I don't think so.

Mika said "Put me in, coach".

To Lav, it looked like this.

But what they actually got was this...

Zibanejad has had more concussions than Chytil and we anchored the franchise to him.

It's time to hand this team to the kids, pp1 can include Lafreniere and Chytil/Cuylle. More even strength time, time for the unproductive fossils to take a back seat, long overdue

Ugh please no.

Panarin likes to slow the game down and hold the puck.

Chytil likes to push the pace by holding the puck.

These two will not play well together.

And I don't want Chytil learning Panarin's way... See Lafreniere.

But they did and were good together and then he got hurt and Trochek took the spot.

doesn't mean we need them to make a second mistake

e: I mean relying on Chytil to be an important cog is how we got half a year of Bonino in the top 9
Zibanejad wasn't a mistake because of his health, he was a mistake because he sucks.

He hasn't missed significant time since the 19-20 season despite having several injuries before that.

He hasn't been the same since his last concussion, he's less physical and watching where he goes. I get it but we're paying him to play that way, just sucks he's got a full nmc. The dumb part was watching him play and then signing him to that contract
I hear though he's starting to think about waiving it to a spot he figures is a good fit.

Drury was a victim of circumstance a bit with that Zibanejihad deal, but it's what ultimately will get him fired.

He has not been the same since multiple issues with COVID. Whatever you feel about COVID, in his case it's a thing.
