Agreed. Makes no senseI'm not moving Kakko

I’m a big Chytil fan. I think he had the ability to be a playmaker but needs to start doing it more going into next year
I would love to get Barkov, but that's not anywhere near enough to get him. What about Kreider, Chytil, rights to Strome and the Carolina pick to Florida for Sasha Barkov?
If we're to trade for Eichel, Kreider or Trouba would have to go the other way in order to get the salaries to work and both guys have NMC. I doubt they'd waive it for Buffalo and the Pegulas.
Agreed. Sometimes he tries to go through 3 guys on his own but he is young and will learn to dish the puck when he draws defenders to himI thought he had a good year for a 20 year old. Would have scored 30+ points in an 82 game season. He’s improved every year. He’s big and flies up and down the ice
.
Kreider just signed a deal with a NMC for the first four years. You think he’s gonna waive to go to Buffalo and leave this loaded team? Stop it.
Who are the teams in that bracket where they're kind of "win now" teams but they have shaky goaltending? Pittsburgh and Edmonton from the fake playoffs? Both bad trade partners though. Edmonton only has like 6 players so if they trade Nurse or RNH for a late first+Georgiev they're moving sideways, before you get into the salary stuff on our side.
Where is this Barkov stuff coming from? Is this an 'I hope he's available' or like something with an actual source?
Florida is looking to slash salary but I doubt Barkov at $5.9 million is on the chopping block. They are already losing Hoffman and Dadonov to UFA.
But then again the players they'd like to move (Matheson, Stralman, Bobrovksy) have untradeable contracts.
Maybe Chiarelli will be Florida's new GM![]()
Yeah, I feel like any way you slice it with any problem they have, trading their best player by a mile isn't going to be the way they find out of it
Ehhhhhhhh I think they could make space for Eichel. He's getting paid 10M per. Kreider will have to be part of any deal, for sure (and who knows if he'd waive)
Exactly, but I do think Kreider would waive his NMC for certain teams

Someone mentioned Bozak the other day and after I thought about it for a while I thought it was a pretty interesting ideaWould love to get Max Domi for the 2C spot. Think he’d be a great fit with our wingers.
trying to think of other decent to good centers that could be available. Guys way below Barkov/Eichel etc. with Laf in the fold we can do fine with like a veteran ~40 point guy. As long as it’s an upgrade on Strome.
Or if Huberdeau does that. Assuming Hoffman and Dadonov both walk, those two are the only good forwards on the team, and they have identical contracts that expire in 2022. Ekblad was the guy Viola always wanted to build around anyway.Unless Barkov goes to Florida’s owner and tells him to his face he will not sign an extension with the team, they’re not going to trade him
Purely speculation, no rumors at all. But, as said, they are staring down the barrel of a Tavares situation with both he and Huberdeau in two short years. If either of them are sick of it down there, the other is gone too.
There are rumors about the owner Viola demanding a $10m payroll cut, and maybe the new GM will be amenable to selling Barkov and Huberdeau for primo building blocks like Lafreniere.
Yes. Bozak is a great cover for 2C/3C in case Chytil can't do it full time. He should be cheap to acquire as well. Obviously not long-term, but in the short-term he will work.Someone mentioned Bozak the other day and after I thought about it for a while I thought it was a pretty interesting idea
Why are the Rangers moving him when they just signed him long term for more than just his on-ice production?

But you're right. Let's pivot to other pastures.
Like Cirelli.

IF ADA signed longish term...
Chytil, Lundkvist maaaybe + for Cirelli
yay or nay? Seems fair value
edit - f*** it, throw in Lias
