They're in a cap crunch. Need to resign Laine, Myers, Connor, possibly Trouba, and more besides. Perreault spent most of the season in the bottom 6 (aTOI 12:14) and is making over 4 million for the next 2 years.

Effectively they move down a couple slots to clear 4m off the cap

So why help them for a few draft slots and maybe instead force them to trade one of those better RFA's?

Just curious to see what the appetite here is for Jesse Puljujärvi / what NYR could give up to get him.

Didn't watch him play much this past year, but think he'd be the right kind of gamble (young / hasn't put the pieces together) AND might help KK adjust as a fellow young fin in the locker room.

Some folks here want him

I have no use for him.

At all

Paging Mr. Chayka...a Mr. Gorton would like to speak with you.

PIT wants a cheaper player back that can score 25 and play well 5v5.

Not a lot of options coming back from ARI that can fit that bill for Kessel

Honestly don't know that much about Ghost, but what if Flyers were willing to do Gostisbehere for Kreider straight up assuming Kreider will resign with them?

And is there any possibility they'd be interested in a much larger, blockbuster deal involving Ghost and the #11 (and maybe another pick in 3rd round) coming here for Kreider, Pionk, Georgiev and the #20?

If neither or those float your boat, how about Kreider, Pionk, Howden/Andersson, for Gostisbehere, Patrick?

Truly don't know how good value is there, feel free to let me know if I'm close, super far off, or just tell be to stop considering interdivisional trades that will never happen

Obviously all dependent on if Kreider would sign with Flyers or not

I wish there were a separate thread for trade proposals as opposed to actual rumors
well there is, if you are looking for actual rumors go on twitter and follow friedman, mackenzie, dreger: they are the insiders after all. we are all just fans randomly guessing and never being right

It's still early but I'd be going into next season looking at a forward group like this

Buch Zib Kravtsov
Kreider Chytil Kakko
Lias Howden Names
Lemieux Strome Fast

Mix of vets and young guys, ideally at the very least one if not all of Namestnikov, Strome and Vesey get moved for anything they can get. I think Fast would also compliment that 3rd line well and someone like Lettieri or Boo would be capable of bottom 6 mins. There's a lot of potential in that lineup

Kreider for 14
Lias + Lundquist for Trouba

Panarin Zib Buch
Kravstov Chytil Kakko
Lemmy Howden Strome
Names Nieves Fast
Smith

Skjei Trouba
Staal ADA
Rykov Shatty

Hajek, Fox, Lindgren as next guys up to take over for Staal/Shatty

He looked like a Norris Candidate, then they moved him to the right side and he like all Ds in this league playing on the wrong side started to struggle. You run out of time on the ice, have to turn into the ice and don’t have that easy ‘fore-hand’ break out option with a quick pass. The pressure is tougher because you have to make more difficult plays on a shift by shift basis, and eventually you will start to make mistakes, lose confidence and so forth. It happens to everyone, Buffalo will also ruin Dahlin if they keep him on the wrong side. Then someone will chip in and say that they themselves like it there and what not, but the results speak for themselves, nobody have the last decade and a half played well on the wrong side for like 3-4 years in a row. All top Ds always without exception play on the right side.

I think he could be a great pickup. Would love to get him.
