If he could have filled into his frame he would have been a star imo, guy is built like a flag pole. I think we have a similar guy in Chytil.

One way or the other staal cannot be in the top 6 for this team next year. Buyout puts him from 5.7 next year to 3.5ish next year and 1.0 ish the following year. Not a massive savings but worth it if you can't get anyone to bite. He earns 3.2 next year after getting a 1.0 signing bonus. If the cap had gone up I think it's possible someone would've taken him for one year, but now I don't think that's realistic. I think but will buy him our and continue to make henke uncomfortable in hopes he will retire. I mean would nyr but them BOTH out this fall?? That is a true end of an nyr era as they really are the last staples to those teams that made the playoff runs, especially if fast leaves.

RNH would be hated here by midseason as his play is generally very vanilla. He's a very good player but people here would want more from him constantly, especially based on him getting a new contract and what he would cost then.

A Pittsburgh Pirates player sang the National Anthem in 2018 and got notoriety for it, because it is a rare thing to see happen and because he did so well, his name is Steven Brault

Just wanted to stop in and say that I'm a big fan of the treasure trove of riches that your team has in the pipeline on defense and I think your current core of youth on the blueline for the pro squad is pretty solid too. If K'Andre Miller hits on his potential... woof. Your top 4 will be a real force in this league if that happens.

The thing is that as much flak as Gorton gets for that pick nobody says how smart the Chytil pick was.

Chytil looks a lot better because our forward core is lacking blue chippers.

We’re on the clock. Panarin, Zibabejad, Kreider are all well into their primes. Shesterkin isn’t even that young.

If Montreal and Chicago can each win 1 of their next 2 games, our worst case spot is 11 overall. Hoping one other underdog can pull get us to 10 overall.

I know it's not a rational thought, but I would rather pittsburgh win than see them have a chance at the 1st overall.
