Bear with me guys, but would you consider moving Kreider and Georg to Buffalo for the 7th and 30th pick, with Buffalo also receiving a conditional 2nd or 3rd in 2020 if Kreider doesn't sign again? With Buffalo having a major failure this past season and a new head coach they will want to make a move to be a playoff contender. Not really a fan of moving either player, but this would absolutely fast-track our build. Also gives Buffalo a great option for goaltending and much deeper forward core to have punch on the second line to take pressure off Eichel/Skinner.
Thoughts?
I know some think I am nuts but why not see if they can move a Kreider in a package for a good defensive RD to go with Fox and ADA for the future?
why does it have to be Kreider for another 1st?
Because nobody will give up a quality young RD without a massive overpayment, but you can draft one and hope he plans out.
You can be a dominant player and play north-south. Frankly the more straight to the net approach the Rangers have, the better. I have had more than enough east-west overpass the puck, play on the perimeter play under AV.The more I’ve watched Cozens, the more I see all the tools without a stable toolshed. His hockey IQ and creativity aren’t up there with some of the top prospects in this draft. He’s more a north/south player than east/west. The top players in this draft have both. His speed, his shoot first mentality, and his consistency are all major pluses. I just don’t have the same confidence he has a playing style that will allow him to dominate at the next level. He reminds me of Nolan Patrick.
Elliotte Friedman on his latest podcast. Florida is the favorite for Panarin. Coach Q factor. If Florida wants both Columbus guys, they will get them. Elliotte said Point would be the guy if the Rangers decided to offer sheet a player.
The Rangers aren't giving up 4 first round picks for Point. Every year with the offer sheet speculation.
The Rangers aren't going to offer sheet ANYONE. Always this chatter from the "experts" and it never happens. Why? Because the cost is ****ing insane.
That may be the worst article I've ever read.
1. The Penguins would even consider trading Malkin to the Rangers?
2. The Rangers would have pick 20 OFF THE TABLE for Malkin?
3. Would the Rangers trade a "Ryan Strome, Jimmy Vesey, Ryan Lindgren, or Yegor Rykov?" Lol.
I'm not exactly sure what a 33 year old Malkin does for the Rangers.
Any argument I made against Panarin would be multiplied by going down that route.

Didn't say I would take him. Just that Larry's article makes no sense. Even if the Rangers wanted Malkin for whatever reason I highly doubt the Penguins would deal him here and it certainly would not be for scraps.
Since Hayes left Larry been doing the skunk
If Jimmy Vesey or Ryan Strome were on the table, Malkin would be a Ranger by now.
