Unless they move one of Pietrangelo, Parayko and Faulk, Dunn goes unprotected in the expansion draft. He might be available for less than a 1st.Dunn probably would cost Canes 1st. Not saying I wouldn’t do it, but to set expectations.
And they can sign him on a cheap bridge like Rangers did with DeAngelo.
Blues don’t have to do any of that. Rangers don’t have a second, and even if that was their best offer they can get out bid. Would you have taken less than a 1st for DeAngelo? Are you proposing the Blues protect 4D?Blues don’t have to do any of that. Rangers don’t have a second, and even if that was their best offer they can get out bid. Would you have taken less than a 1st for DeAngelo? Didn’t think so
Blues mod says #23OA + good prospectDunn probably would cost Canes 1st. Not saying I wouldn’t do it, but to set expectations.

*If they protect Lindgren. The Rangers don’t have an expansion protection spot either for Dunn
I guess Gorton and Armstrong have their marching orders then.Blues mod says #23OA + good prospect
And if we somehow got Dunn it'd be a fairly easy decision on who to protect.*If they protect Lindgren.
I'd protect Lindgren. And if we somehow got Dunn it'd be a fairly easy decision on who to protect.
I'd protect Lindgren.
That also figures into play. I’m bad at projecting expansion. What protection projection are you working withThe Rangers don’t have an expansion protection spot either for Dunn
Define good prospect? I think 23OA straight up is perfectly cromulentBlues mod says #23OA + good prospect
Aside from losing Lindgren, my concern with Dunn is that he's actually the player people are talking about when they bring up soft usage. And if we somehow got Dunn it'd be a fairly easy decision on who to protect.

At the risk of sounding like a noob. Can’t they protect 4DTrouba *NMC
DeAngelo
Lindgren
That's the 3 you protect if they are on the team. If we acquire a defenseman who is eligible, you have to choose between him and Lindgren
Good prospect for us that isn't untouchable is probably Kravtsov, so say a little less than Kravtsov to counter bias.Define good prospect? I think 23OA straight up is perfectly cromulent
I think they changed it to 7F/3D/1G or 8F/1G, which is baloney. I guess they can throw Seattle a draft pick if they agree not to take Lindgren. At the risk of sounding like a noob. Can’t they protect 4D
That’s really dumb. That’s better than VegasI think they changed it to 5F/3D/1G or 8F/1G, which is baloney.
At the risk of sounding like a noob. Can’t they protect 4D
Yeah I’m good in that unless it like Pajuniemi or lower. 1st round pick on it’s own is plentyGood prospect for us that isn't untouchable is probably Kravtsov, so say a little less than Kravtsov to counter bias.
Is it 8 forwards or 8 skaters? They can, but they can only protect 4 forwards then.
8F + 1G
or
7F + 3D + 1G
I think the 1st could get most of it done.Yeah I’m good in that unless it like Pajuniemi or lower. 1st round pick on it’s own is plenty
This conversation is getting tired. It isn't a real estate forum. Those statistics come from East Hartford. I highly doubt Wolf Pack players are venturing into East Hartford for any purpose. You're really getting off the rails from the what affect Hartford had on Lias.
The kid had/has a mental health condition. Which isn't unusual for most NHLers due to all that goes into being a professional. A family friend started the mental health program for the Leafs just a couple years ago. Their AHL arena is a stone's throw from the NHL arena and she describes similar struggles for the kids that Lias experienced. Those challenges can arise in any locale even with the best available resources.
