Too bad that doesn't dispute what I said. He scored a meaningless goal vs the Devils in a 5-1 blowout. Friday was the first game he looked awake all season. That's 1 in a row.

VAN should not want Mika at full popSomething around Mika and Kreider to Vancouver for Miller and Boeser.
Think Mika might waive if Kreider is going with him and Miller would likely waive to come back here. Vancouver might do it given Miller’s issues and Boeser being a UFA after this year, while Kreider has 2 years left after this one.
For the Rangers, probably a slight upgrade this year and provides more flexibility long term. Miller can play center or wing, cap hit is slightly less than Mika and his NMC converts to a NTC in a couple years. Probably have to let Boeser walk after this year, but can use that cap space to sign a LHD and fill the winger spots internally with Berard, Othmann and/or Perrault.
I think it'll be different. Two reasons; He's been there before, 2nd child and the uncertainty of the future is gone (money/home wise)Does he really have a second kid arriving soon? We all saw how that worked out the first time with his play slipping and Igor being tired...
Nor did your comment dispute what I said in my post. All the underlining advanced stats shows that he is in fact on a positive trajectory since the Winnipeg game.Too bad that doesn't dispute what I said. Did he pass away? I thought he was just doing twitter stuff only nowrip in pieces to one of the funniest posters ever
His stats literally had nowhere to go but up. The eye test has shown he's basically been MIA all year until Friday.Nor did your comment dispute what I said in my post. All the underlining advanced stats shows that he is in fact on a positive trajectory since the Winnipeg game.
One game out of 80 bad ones is not trending, I did think their line was better but I thought Smith was what improved on the line the most. He shouldn't be on pp1 anymore, there's a years worth of video to explain why, I mean he's even finally realizing his one timer is wack and is faking it and wristing it to the net. I am not a mika hater but he's not the top center or top 5 players on this team anymore.Did you miss the last couple of games? He is definetly trending in the right direction and against the Penguins his line was the best line on the ice with him driving play.

I will gladly take 19 points in 25 games while being MIA. Imagine what his numbers will be once he gets his shit together..His stats literally had nowhere to go but up. The eye test has shown he's basically been MIA all year until Friday.
Check his advanced stats since the Winnipeg game. I'm confused...I thought you've been agreeing with the rest of us all season that's hes been awful? Now you're saying you're satisfied with his play this season because his production has been masking his deficiencies? He's still on pace for less than 20 goals.I will gladly take 19 points in 25 games while being MIA. Imagine what his numbers will be if he continues his current trajectory.
Or maybe the turbulence in the locker room affected him and now that Trouba is gone calm is setting in and he can focuse on his game.Mika has been more engaged since they threatened him with the Kreider trade rumors. Mika is the type who would snap out of it when his buddy's life could get upended.

As for the bolded, hopefully they're good enough to fool some rival GM into trading for him.
KakkoWould you guys rather trade Kakko or Cuylle if given the choice?
i dont think so i was just saying rip to him as a poster lolDid he pass away? I thought he was just doing twitter stuff only now
I dont disagree what's best for the team is him figuring it out but while he is doing that he shouldn't be played like a first line center. He has been given the longest leash in the history of hockey while players like Lafreniere, Jones and Kakko were demoted at the blink of an eye to the detriment of this team.Baby steps. The easiest path forward is Mika figuring his shit out because the physical skills are still there. His problems are between the ears. He can still score 30 goals and score 90 pints in this league.
I had the same except Sykora instead of BerardMiller, Kakko, Berard, 1st for Tkachuk
Lots of similarities to the Nash saga
It is not strange that a player with Mikas career gets a longer leash compared to players who hasnt accomplished anything in the league yet.He has been given the longest leash in the history of hockey while players like Lafreniere, Jones and Kakko were demoted at the blink of an eye to the detriment of this team.

Demanding top value is different than getting it. We all agree the Buch trade was a disaster. We made so many unnecessary moves to fill in our vacant RW slots (pre Laf breakout). Vatrano, Copp, Tarasenko, Kane, Wheeler, Roslovic, Smith so recent history cautions us not to cut our nose off to spite our face. Or maybe "a stitch in time saves nine future roster moves."I appreciate you raising a valid pt about doing things out of optimized sequence, dealing Lindy before we have a body/bodies in place.
Perhaps adding Vaak and promo of Mancini is sufficient there.
But regardless, you also suffer if you do not strike when the iron is hot.
I advocated moving Lindgren, like Buch, long ago when they commanded top $
now best we can do is deal Lindy NOW to the highest bidder, b'c that high bid is predicated on their need NOW, not when we want to ship Ryan out
We have no choice but to let him play his way out of it. We can't get rid of him & we have nobody to replace him.It is not strange that a player with Mikas career gets a longer leash compared to players who hasnt accomplished anything in the league yet.
I'm unclear if you're advocating for William or Alexander Carrier. In one of your previous posts you mentioned Carrier & Nashville, but William plays for the Canes & is a 4th liner.
yes, but I have a habit of being ahead of the curve, and more often not wrong on itO

I think the issue is his wife can't move. It's not that isn't an inconvenience, but his wife literally cant leave, which means his young kid can't leave, which means he then has to move away from his family. I think if her job/edu situation was different than this whole thing would have played out much smoother and he would have moved much smoother.Trouba continues to act like he's the only dude with a family who's ever been traded
100 percent yes.Just for fun....not saying it's realistic orthat NYR should.
Would you trade Lafreniere 1for1 for Brady right now if that offer was on the table?
I wouldn't, but interested what other think
