I am noting now you covered it in the underline

Howev I think if you go for a modest return from, say VAN, as I have already posted, then you wind up not having to make an overpayment to a 3rd team.
If what you extract from VAN is minimal, they are underwriting the risk/cost of retaining 2 on balance of zib deal if they need to send him to cap cellar dweller.

So the '3rd option' is max retain, min but useful return, = min overpayment for a 3rd team that 'nucks charge us upfront

It’s easy for us to forget that Howden had legit two-way 2C upside until he was rushed into the NHL and forced to play for David Quinn.

Hajek though…no clue what they were thinking there…

Tools without toolbox. Easy mistake to make with a teen prospect.

It's short true game-breaking talent and 1st line center (which is what happens when your 2 highest draft picks are Laf and KK), but that doesn't look like a terrible line-up for a team that went to a SCF and 4 more ECF during that time (and had a highly touted prospect die...).

It's also a weird way to evaluate development. Why can't we include guys like McD and Fox? We got them when they were young, and in the case of Fox traded draft-picks for them which otherwise may have been names on that list. If the organisation is responsible (and it is) for misidentifying some talent and stunting the development of some young guys, it also gets the accolades when it identifies and trades for talent that actually works out here.

No-one is ever going to proclaim the Rangers as one of the great drafting teams of all time, but for the most part we are solid.
The issues are a few very highly picked busts/disappointments (Lias, Krav, KK) and trading a lot of draft capital in order to make those ECF and then fall short

if you're talking about 1, 4, and 5, you're not talking about 12 notes - you're talking about 7 (diatonic scale) scale tones.

If you find a C on a piano or keyboard, count that as 1. play only white keys ascending upwards (to the right) and the 4th is F and 5th is G. those are the bass or 'tonic' notes for the chords in the 1-4-5 progression he's describing.

They were good to very good for until around 2015 when Gordie and team lost it.

Gorton had a lot of buffoonery and low emotional intelligence in the org. They also kept Ciacciao around way too long.

This is my favorite bit of message board psychosis in 20 years in this place. That the 63rd most important guy in the organization was somehow handicapping the basic hockey skills of a professional hockey team via voodoo or blood magik.

50 people on a messageboard cursing some guy they couldn't identify in a police lineup for a million dollars and a massage from Margot Robbie.

His nefarious powers are still at play, they're still terrible at making and receiving passes.

Damn you, Mark Chicago.
