I never knew the Rangers are the first team in history to put players on the trade block.

What a boring league. Drury might be an idiot but he didnt nothing wrong by calling them out. Im not letting them off the hook. They've played like crap and we've barely gotten a change in effort in the week since. The players who are least responsible for the malaise have been our best.

This should be the time where we are testing internal defensive options.

How has Scanlin been in Hartford this season so far? Wolfpack watchers have suggested he's closer to NHL ready than Robertson. In the event of an eventual Jones promotion, could he replace Lindgren as a stay at home 3rd pairing defenseman?

Mancini is far from a garunteed NHL defenseman but he should continue to get NHL looks while we mull over options.

I think NYR should be able to put together a trade to upgrade on one of Lindgren/Trouba. Esp if one of those two heads the other way. But I think one more spot being an internal replacement ight help not leak assets.
They have already been tested at the AHL level and haven't showed enough to suggest they can be full time NHL players. What would be the point of playing them in the NHL? Management still has the goal of making the playoffs and, presumably, winning the cup. They aren't going to insert players they believe have no NHL future unless they have no other choice.

It just figures. The Rangers fo finally leak something, and it turns the whole league upside down.

I'd be a fan of the Rangers drafting two centers per draft in the top 4 rounds for at least the next 3 drafts assuming they can acquire some picks in those rounds. BPA be damned, they are so hard to find and so impactful I feel like a shotgun approach would be worth it.

Rangers should continue to get Kakko reps at C to mitigate this. Lafreniere eventually deserves them too. I think the team would be smart to target and undervalued young center with upside in a hypothetical Trouba/Kreider trade. Although we tend to undervalue our own young players.

Also, you know who's great at keep-ins as a winger?

f***ing Will Cuylle could hold water in a cheese grater.
He's my surprise break out guy so far this year.

I knew Kakko always had this in him. He's simply been very unlucky the past couple of years. He wasn't going to shoot at 4% forever or whatever his egregiously low shooting percentage was last year. The points for him were always going to come as long as he continued go work hard.

I didn't have Cuylle becoming a 60 point winger on my 2025 bingo card.

Love Cuylle but feel like we’re getting ahead of ourselves here

I’d like to see what he does when he’s not shooting and scoring at a insanely high and unattainable clip

Cuylle is getting points because he's going to the net. He has a good shot and skates hard. It's all very sustainable and he needs more minutes. Let's not forget he has had multiple goals called back on video review.

I don’t think Cuylle is performing unsustainably.
He’s not scoring crazy shots that shouldn’t go in. He’s playing a very simple game, and playing with players who can work with him.

Shooting 20% is unsustainable. Can't believe I have to keep having this conversation.

It's called a slump. Cuylle is going to go like ten games without a goal at some point because of course he is.
