There were five players who scored 60 5v5 points last year. They were the top 5 in the Hart voting. The year before there were three. Cuylle is not scoring 60 points without a PP1 role. The highest scoring "random" player at 5v5 would probably be Trevor Moore with 45 points.

I mean it's literally how fast they're moving, so it's pretty objective.
I think our perception of how fast guys are is based on how fast they play, and I would argue that's more important anyway.
Kreider is still in like the top 15% in top speed.

the "top speed" list is noncents. the middle one is a great shout for Eddie though. That's what it takes to create an effective forecheck. Constant speed pressure and physicality. Vesey/Brodz are fine 13th fwd/depth guys but we need another Edstrom for the 4th line. I'm pretty sure we have him in hartford, may not be ready yet. and no its not Rempe lol.

That report is really weird. Like do they mean that other teams don't want their players to get upset if they are looking for a trade? Or do they mean they dont want our players because of how they reacted to the news? Or do they not want to trade with the Rangers cause the news will get out? Well regardless, that report is contrary to literally yesterday that said teams called and Drury backed off. This is why "insiders" are useless.
Also there has always been rules for the NHL, then the rules for the Rangers. There is always a slight tax on anything the Rangers do, mostly in trades.

Something changed with him and Mika a few years ago. Their approach/style changed. Floating, being the new foundation they built their game upon

I'm not saying he's slow. He's just not particularly fast. Plenty of other guys have a better top speed now. He used to be the fastest player in the world at full sprint.

Well, Kreider shot 20%, and people will attempt to normalize that before they acknowledge Kreider is good at anything.
And even then, his norm is closer to 16%.

Rangers come to Dallas on the 20th. My birthday is in 6 days and while I’m far too broke to afford the risk that is paying to watch the Rangers get embarrassed, my father decided to get me a pair of tickets. Guess it’s time to dust off the jersey. Maybe I can convince them to leave Trouba or Mika in Dallas and we can take some new friends back to NY with us.

Seriously what do you think can change? Do you think there's a Kreider/Othmann for Korchinski deal on the table that Drury will hammer YES on if they lose one game? Do you think Lavi will get canned because of one game? What's the possible move?

Lindgren and Smith first, then you continue to shop Kreider and Trouba. Kreider has value and I could see him being a hot commodity.

Thanks for this. Confirms eye test. I commented to my son that I've never seen anyone negate so many icings. Seems every game he blows by a D-man to get a puck that was a sure icing
