Can't see Novak being available. Solid numbers the last 2 years and a step forward this year. Would cost a pretty penny.

Wonder what the plan is for Jones long-term. Assumed 3LD next year or offseason trade?

Analytics may theoretically work for baseball, but they turned the sport into an unwatchable mess. The NBA has been unwatchable for over 25 years, so I'm not sure what role analytics play there.
Analytics do suck ass for the product/watchability of baseball. 3 true outcomes bums being valuable, shifting, TB Rays, etc. But I don’t understand how they clash with exciting hockey. Hockey analytics pretty much exclusively favor fast skilled high IQ players in favor of plodding cones

I know you have your sources, but I would have to agree that the Rangers won't want to part with Laf now that he is really getting better every game, and with better luck would have even more points. At the same time, Ottawa likely wants nothing less. So chances are we will miss out on another Tkachuk and it will be unfortunate.

Rangers would probably offer Kakko, Chytil(cap and potential for his return), 1st and maybe Lindgren? Fun to think about. Would likely add a prospect too.

Also, I feel like he is a pretty strict LW. Last thing we need. Haha

most hockey analytics are just descriptive at this moment and outside of maybe carolina I'm not sure they've been heavily used to influence how a team plays. Carolina might also just play that way because it's not necessarily a bad way to play.

Yeah I just meant from a team building standpoint which is still going to have a huge influence on what kind of games you’re watching

Frankie Vatrano: Pat don't trade me, please!
Pat Verbeek: I ain't gonna trade you.
Frankie Vatrano: Oh Christ, thank you! Thank you!
Pat Verbeek: [Pat looks at Asst, GM Rob DiMaio] DiMaio, trade that piece of shit!

It was always Frankie Vatrano
Interesting to see what the bounty will be…
