Where are they going dude? Mika is the 1C whether people like it or not, and Trouba’s contract is not easily moved without retention.
I still think that in a weird way Zibanejad for Zegras, while albeit not a perfect deal, kind of gives both teams what they need

Why would the Ducks trade for Mika, when they have Carlsson, McTavish and Gauthier on the way?

Yes, if we get knocked out early than something needs to change. And everyone knows the bromance runs the show behind the scenes which is why they are never broken up despite them not being able to score at ES for years. The deflection specialist is the best player to lose who will also bring back a hefty return to keep the team competitive.
You have no idea what goes on behind the scenes. And your posts are a constant reminder.

I wouldn't mind Kreider getting some days off

Would like to see Berard up here for a few games too.

While this graph suggests the Rangers have improved since Trouba has been out, it also suggests we were just as good, if not better, at other points in the season with Trouba in the lineup.

There's a small sample size on either side of that curve. Aren't small sample sizes anathema to analytics?
We have like a six-year sample of Trouba being kind of trash.

Common sense doesn't dictate trading a guy who scores a lot of goals in the playoffs and regular season because you don't like him.
Good players can be traded all the time.

Lets see how effective he is in the playoffs this year, something at ES would be nice. A PP expert can easily be replaced.

There's always a dumb GM out there that believes the hype. Trouba get a lot of blocked shots and hits.

If we can trade Scott Gomez and get value we can trade Trouba.
The problem isn't how moveable he is, that problem is that we wouldn't. He's in the lineup because the Rangers like him.

Even Goodrow. Goodrow is already playing over better options. I don't see the Rangers suddenly changing their minds on Goodrow this summer.

Why players are in your lineup is almost always Ocaam's razor. They're in the lineup because the team wants them there.

He's tied with Trocheck for 2nd most even strength goals on the team. At 5 on 5, he's 2nd on the team to Panarin in goals per 60 at .94 (Not counting Edstrom, who has 2 goals in limited minutes). That number is better than Marchand, Petterson, Hintz, Aho, Robertson, Suzuki, Malkin and Matthew Tkachuk. Oh, and Connor McDavid, who is at .81 per 60. For 6.5 mil per year, that seems like good production to me.

He has always been more of a goal scorer than playmaker. If his center is ass, there's not much he can do about it. Mika isn't going anywhere, however. We have to hope that he figures it out.

But, but, but... he's part of the bromance!!!!

You can think whatever you want about Kreider, but don't lie. The narrative that he's not good at even strength is a lie.

Over the last four seasons, he's top 40 among all players in even strength goals. His immediate neighbors include Gaudreau, Marchand, Miller, and Pettersson.

Not many wings in the entire league have more goals the last three years. He’s criminally under appreciated.
Guy has actually gotten objectively better as he's gotten older and lived up to his incredibly team friend contract. And it's still not enough for the lunkheads. Maybe if he spelled his name Kreidér or Kreidquivst people would feel better.
