I have the same lineup exactly for next year. We can afford an upgrade to Lindgren if we then move Trouba the year after next when some RFAs come due. Not a lot of names out there, Hanifin hasn’t signed yet? Chychrun, Theodore. That’s the problem I see, worse comes to worse we sign Lindgren 2 years and maybe move Trouba. Not ideal.
The next strategic step is for the club to have a perennial cup window open by replacing players here and there with the pipeline. We need more D prospects, any undrafted NCAA RDs out there?

Agreed, it's Kreider who needs to go this offseason.

Yea our PP might suffer a bit, but Laf should fit nicely there. Trocheck takes Kreider's spot in front of the net.

Most VAN fans thought he would have been allowed to just walk as an unsigned prospect, and were surprised he carried ANY value in a trade. He was not a significant piece in the deal by anyone's standard, VAN and CGY fans alike.

"Big body with zero hockey IQ." I wouldn't mind him in HFD, but I'm not trading actual chips for him. Sykora is worth a 2nd on his own, but worth more to us. BMB is basically our only C prospect, so I'd rather keep him than Jurmo, even without considering the 4th.

I guess I would do a 4th straight up for JJ. Just to get a D body in HFD. An UDFA NCAA D this offseason should be on our radar this off-season, regardless.

Yea so we are down 10 goals. I'm sure we will survive and in the process get a nice haul for Kreider and cap room. Time to break up the bromance for the team to keep moving forward, esp if we are knocked out earlier in the playoffs.

If Othmann can show he belongs up there and we get a legit 1LD - I really like this lineup

It objectively doesn't.

When Kreider and Zibanejad are on the ice together at 5v5, the Rangers are outscoring opponents 40-27. They're one of the best-performing lines in terms of goal differential in the NHL.

In recent weeks, where people have really ramped up on the anti-Kreider agenda (he actually had like two bad games which didn't help), the team is playing their best hockey of the year.

Kreider is sometimes annoying, and Zibanejad is very f***ing annoying. That being said, I also don't really care. I care about results.

If the team is playing well, I couldn't care less if you personally enjoyed the style.

The team plays well when that line is on the ice literally always.

Maybe Zibs remembers how he can shoot from the middle of the ice

But I don’t get moving kreider. I’d like to move kreider away from Zibs

Yes, if we get knocked out early than something needs to change. And everyone knows the bromance runs the show behind the scenes which is why they are never broken up despite them not being able to score at ES for years. The deflection specialist is the best player to lose who will also bring back a hefty return to keep the team competitive.

The team has lost twice since mid-February so we need somebody to pick on.

Kreider fits the bill because he's a visually ugly player and like, again, I just don't care.
