post punk Lindgren.JPG

Whenever I listen to this station they pop this image up. I think it resembles Lindgren. Hopefully, like this AI image he can listen to tunes, rest up and heal.

Really dont need another Girardi/Staal contract situation.
Luckily the 3+ year age difference means it's not that. Re-signing him for 4 years would be like if we let Girardi walk instead of a 5yr deal.

If you want to make the case that it's "even worse since he'll be cooked at 27," then go ahead...but it's not the same. It's so tiring seeing this argument crop up every few days.

I’m all for not giving him a 30 plus contract…. But to say he’s done at 26 after his 1st really bad season,( not even a whole season btw. He’s been better last 2-3 weeks) is not right….
People forget at times he carried him and fox when fox looked like crap… but fox still was putting up pts on the PP etc and is a stud, walks on water etc so we won’t bring that up.
The argument that Lindgren drags fox down or fox would be scoring at a higher rate without Lindgren is something I don’t subscribe to.

kind of the opposite. I really want to see Fox+Miller and Gus+Schneider
Gus and Schneider started the season well, but began to crater. I am glad to see Schneider getting a look with someone else

Girardi also didn’t have half the damage that Lindgren has. It’s a fair comparison. Neither deal should/should have happen(ed). Lindgren’s there is plenty of evidence Lindgren’s decline is directly related to the damage he has taken. He keeps getting injured more frequently and is coming back worse each time he gets injured

Kreider on pace to match his best productive year, and has bounced back from last season. Has already exceeded last season's production by 10 points and still has 14 games to go.

Is he still on some people's shit list and want him to be traded? Asking for a friend.
Not sure Kreider was ever truly on a shit list as much as it is that his cash in value was worth more than a 32 year old.

It's a fair comparison in the fact that they are both defensemen that played for the Rangers, I guess? You're saying it's worse. Run with that instead of saying "Girardi all over again."

He's already played more games than last season, but hasn't played quite as well. So feel free to make the argument that he's playing worse with each injury, but you can't just tack on an extra non-fact to try and make your argument stronger.

"His play has dipped each season, and he also started murdering more puppies."

I don't think there's a slam dunk upgrade out there, unless Hanifin wants to sign here. If he does, then cool, I have no problem moving on. Outside of that, I'm cool with 4 years for Lindy at the right number. If he's asking $5m or more, then he gets a 1yr QO, and we figure it out the following off-season. So be it.

Don't even know where the overall Lindgren injury discussion is happening, but, if there's anyone that can take this opportunity and run with it, it's Jones. He's already been playing well, and in because of Trouba's injury, but Trouba is coming back soon and he's on the right side anyway, with Lindgren, a lefty, out, Jones has this huge opportunity to cement himself as a long term piece. I believed in him in training camp and beginning of the season, I belive he can do it now. His positives outweigh his negatives, IMO. Being quick and smart with the puck can neutralize a heavy forecheck. His transition game is a boost for this team.

Bring him in, play him this season to burn a year.

This is how you continue to fuel the jet.

Trade away 2nd and 3rd round picks? Replace them with Undrafted players and College Free Agents. Especially at positions of need.

Sign him, like yesterday.

Mass kid. I could see him going to the Bruins.

That's what they said about Hayes and Vesey.

I would hope we’d be interested in a kid that good but the chances of him picking the Rangers are slim to none if the rumors of him wanting to play right away are true.

You get him into the line up. How many games are needed to burn the year?

Play him that many games.

This is how you replace the traded picks.

3 more games this year than last.

I know he’s left 3 games early due to injury, it may be 4. Either way it’s not like he found some fix or has been ultra durable. He’s taken a bigger beating this season than the rest of his NHL career combined.

There are plenty of slam dunk upgrades. He isn’t that good.
