2019-20:

Panarin-Turcotte-Kravtsov
Kreider-Zibanejad-Buchnevich
Andersson-Howden-Chytil
Who-Cares-Fast

Trade a few picks/prospects for a 1D, sort of like the opposite of what we did with trading McD, and we are ready to contend.
Would rather go with a dman but switch Turcotte for Dach and I’m on board.

Yeah we're fine.

If ANYONE can absorb a few down seasons, its us
They and the Knicks have been conducting similar marketing schemes to get fans excited about the young players on the way. If they’re giving fans more access, I doubt they’ll even have to worry about losing money.

I liked Gorton’s mentality of driving competition from within and having a meritocracy. The team seems to appreciate the drive to compete and motivate one another too.

It's not an opinion, it's a bull **** statement. If you believe it, you're as big of a fool as he is.

Don't mistake calling someone out on their BS as bullying. If it weren't zuccarello related, you wouldn't have a problem with it so lets not make this something it really isn't.

Hellion is right, you post as if everything you say is the truth, and what everyone else say is bs. It's getting kind of annoying, maybe you should change that bad habit of yours and respect other opinions.

And I'm not sure who's the fool around here, if you think that a guy who has 30 lbs more body weight than the other will automatically win a strength test like bench press. It's really not that simple.

I happen to have a list of Rangers physical test results, but I can't post it here. I've been told it's not public information, and I don't want to get in trouble.

That 30 pounds was more like 60. Sorry if I don’t buy that the Little train that could beat out one of the strongest and most genetically gifted athletes in the league who has been through a major college strength program, trains with one of the best programs during the summer and is a known workout warrior.

Why Dont you get your information corroborated by a mod? I’m sure they’d be happy to accommodate you and you’d shut me up.

I have to agree but if Smith don't make the cut than that leaves Beleskey.

Someone has to assume the role..

It’s dumb but I think McLeod hangs out advice the 14th F and is basically a coach tha t plays 15 games and fights almost each time

Belesky is tough ?

Kreider actually lost some weight this summer, I believe he's now around 218 lbs, and I think that's good for him. Zucc is 186 lbs, this should make a difference of 32 pounds. Again, you are blowing this up to something not close to reality.

So we’re using numbers from his post surgery weight loss when discussing last summer.

I mean if you’re going to make shit up, at least get your timelines straight.

He’s not a heavy weight by any means but he won’t hesitate to drop the gloves and does fairly well.

He's also decent at the physical part of the game where he doesn’t just aimlessly run around nailing people but rather does it within the context of the game.

I’m not really sure why his point production disappeared but I would much rather have him in the line up over McLeod any day of the week.

I believe much of Kreider's weight loss is fat, something that's not going to help much anyway if you plan to win a strength competition. And we're talking some 10 pounds.

That's how it becomes when this guy keeps posting a lot of incorrect information.

I'd say the most valuable post related to this is the one from Hellion.

You post stuff that can't be backed up by any source. Yet you accuse the other person of posting incorrect information, which he only did to point out the stuff you did. That was clear to me at least

The Rangers and Kevin Hayes. Why didn't the Rangers just give Hayes the long term contract this summer? The Rangers have some trepidation in giving Hayes a long term contract. They had the cap space. If Hayes has a career season in his walk year, do the Rangers trust him long-term? Hayes gets his long-term contract and the pressure to produce is over. Long term security. Hayes can just go back to being fat, lazy and going with the flow counting his money. Gorton makes the comment about having Hayes come into camp in great shape. That's always been an issue with Hayes. He was in poor shape in his 2nd season. The Rangers should trade Hayes at the deadline.
He's L A Z Y.

I'm sure that the Rangers front office didn't like his Wolf of Wall Street Instagram post around draft time.

Can we make a dedicated benchpresing debate thread or some shit so we aren't clogging up this one with inane arguments no one actually cares about?

It was kinda funny at first but now it's just dumb.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the ideal situation from Gorton's perspective was to parlay a big contract year from Hayes into a prime return at the trade deadline. However, even if he doesn't have a big year, I think he goes before the TDL. Zibanejad is here for the Long haul and with the prospects we have at center right now there's no reason to sign a guy just to create a blocker. Writing is on the wall with the 1 year commitment, IMO.

I think the kids are going to dictate whether or not Hayes stays or goes.

If Chytil and LA can hold down a spot (JG views them as centers) before the TDL, Hayes is a goner..
