In the first half of the season Fox was in the Norris conversation, but his second half was subpar for his standards. Regardless, there was zero chance of anyone but Karlsson taking it.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m talking in generalities for the team’s long term, not the last game or four. This IS the roster building thread, not the post game thread, no?
And I’m not talking about smashing faces, just being more physically difficult to play against.

Lindgren got popped but that was it.

And the Lindgren hit was clean. It was Trouba-esque.

We honestly didn't hit them near enough towards the end of that series. The first couple games were a clinic on how to play a smaller team, not much happened after that.

Nothing. I do not think Zac Jones is an NHL player and have repeatedly posted be should be waived.

All the talk of trading Lindgren is a waste of time, they aren't moving him this year. Imo the only player who will be moved is Jones and that will be for his benefit like we did with Nils. I'd expect us to look at Tarasenko again if they are still out of the playoffs, familiar player who can play with Zib and Kreider with an ability to absorb contact, not sure what we'd have to give up and with Ottawa having a lot of young dmen it would be hard to send Jones back in the deal.

Coming out of his draft year I pumped up the Zac Jones predictions pretty hard here.

Today I want him nowhere near a playoff game.

I know Corey Perry is on everyone's shit list but assuming the issue is something that can be handled with the treatment he is receiving, I'd still consider him as our deadline forward pick up. That would allow Drury to look at a veteran d-man who could provide some depth.

I would think Kakko + Lindgren for sure has you in the Hanifin talks. Is that a chance the Rangers want to take?

You should never be afraid to upgrade a key position, no matter the standings or timing.

The Rangers do have plenty of potential on the wings. Othmann, Berard and Edstrom in the AHL. Perreault, Chmelar and Lamb in NCAA. Absolutely no one on D though.

I think I would do it if an extention is included.

He was the runner up. Idk I don't understand how people can use "fox plays worse when paired with worse players than lindgren" as an argument against finding him a better partner than lindgren which he's never had. makes no sense to me.
