Roster Building Thread: Part VII (2023-24)

Always a balance. Miller could suffer a concussion or knee injury that ends his career at any time. Odds aren't great that happens but if it did, he'd be out 30+ million in pre-tax earnings.

The gaps in his game just become way too glaring when he's playing at a level similar to last season.

If he signs with another team, he'll have a point per game.

If he signs with Rangers, he'll have 17 goals and 21 assists. And taxi drivers in NYC will roam the streets in fear.

Just got crushed with a hail storm. Never seen anything like it

This was an absolute piss-missle of a storm.

One of the most severe thunderstorms ive ever witnessed. The hail was incredible. We had several microbursts, blew my front door open. Trees down in the area. Now flooding rain.

Im in Township of Washington, north of Paramus near Westwood/Hillsdale, so a little west of you.

The lighting and thunder was so ferocious it was bordering on a religious experience lol

I was panning to go out for a run in the heat to get a sweat going about an hour ago, when i looked at the radar it was perfectly clear. It generated right over our area almost instantly

To be fair to the Rangers, the reason Chytil isn't 2C is durability. Sometimes players early in their career don't have the man strength or have to learn by experience/nutrition/sports science how to handle the grind of an NHL season. It took Ziba quite a few years.

Chytil just turned 24 so he's entering his prime. Hopefully those diesel pics of him translate into durability and at least 50 points.

74 games, 45 points. Thats not a tough jump.
He's had bad injury luck.
I honestly really didnt like the trocheck signing because it did block him from 2c. But if they move trocheck to 3c, i'll be 100% fine with it.

He did play most of last year and toughed out some injuries. I agree, it's the perception though from the Front Office and also Gallant + having to replace Strome for depth.

In a perfect world Trocheck morphs into the Bobby Holik role with Cullye and maybe a Wheeler as an obnoxious and gritty shutdown line.
