@Kupo You missed the "Laf is fat" debate. That one was a good one. lol
Oh I saw it. And I have proof it’s true!

Not at all.

Your point: He should snap a pic to silence the public.

My Point: If hes getting the work done, we shouldn't care. I realize some do, but it's pretty dumb IMO.

Here to settle the great debate once and for all….

You can see it’s legit because of the blue checkmark.

yeah i agree it's much better to have unrealistic expectations and then be surprised/angry/disappointed when we get bounced in the first round again. all i said is that we dont have the right personnel on defense, which I can't understand anyone disagreeing with if you watched the Devils series. Fox cant play the whole game.

Maybe we should chop Fox up into pieces and plant him and little mini-foxes will grow and once they’re developed we could employ an entire blue line of our very own, homegrown Foxes!

•Our Defense is too soft
•Our Defense lacks playmakers
•Our Forwards suck 5v5
•Gallant can’t coach but Lavi can
•Messier should have been HC!
•Lav won’t fix our Offense
•Fire Lav(?)
•Brendan Smith was fat
•Brendan Smith sucked
•Should have Re-Signed Brendan Smith
•Lafreniere didn’t train like Rocky
•Lafreniere needs to play on the Right
•Lafreniere needs PP time
•Lafreniere hasn’t earned PP time
•Lafreniere hasn’t signed bc the Rangers don’t care
•Panarin needs to be traded
•Panarin shaved his head and popped a gun off
•Goaltending doesn’t matter
•Replace Shesterkin with Joey Tits and we’ll win
•Kreider stopped jumping out of pools
•Goodrow’s overpaid by 12M
•The team has no speed
•We don’t have the right personnel
•Othmann will save us!
•Othmann can’t skate
Without Zubov on D we can’t win
•Bolding a Post makes it indisputable!

Great off-season we’re having. I think the board has collectively taken like, 3 steps back.

The parts about goaltending are true.

The Devils series wasn’t about the lack of D, it was was about lack of want.

To be fair. NYR showed the want the first 2 games.

It seems when the Refs came down hard on both teams for the physical and chippy play, whatever was said on the ice, NYR players backed off and NJ took advantage with their speed game.

I can't fathom what leverage the Refs layed down, but to me that was the turning point.

Games 1 and 2 were a night and day difference from the rest of the series and it was apparent from the first period of game 3 till the round was over.

Yes, I'm blaming the refs. Sue me.

I was bored so I looked forward to next off-season and barring a HUGE jump in production from Kaako or Schneider or some anomaly from Lindgren the team should have a decent amount of cap space to use next off-season. Obviously there are lot of variables here, but if they just trade Goodrow, which I think will happen and give Lafreniere the 2-year deal we all think he will get, we're probably looking at:

This assumes Cuylle and Edstrom make the team and Emberson is the 7D. Maybe $3-4m for another RWer. This assumes Panarin isn't traded and Kaako makes just shy of $4m on a 2 year deal.

The Knicks and Rangers played only five regular season home games combined during the quarter, versus 13 in 2022. And while both teams made the playoffs this year and hosted a total of eight home games, it was down from 10 the prior year when the Rangers made the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks made the second round of the NBA playoffs in 2023, but the Rangers were bounced from the playoffs in their opening round. As a result, revenue from tickets, suites, sponsorships, signage and local media were all lower for the quarter.

The company posted an operating loss of $12.2 million for the quarter versus a $23.7 million profit in 2022. For the full year, it had an operating profit of $89.9 million, up 22%, while net income was $45.6 million.

The pressure is enormous for any of Dolans GM"s....Profit outweighs 1st rd picks any day. Remember the answer to 8 out of 10 questions is always money

They should upgrade the dated Knicks logo and they would sell millions in apparel.

Need "the want" for more than two games to win a series.

Kreider had 5 PP goals. The rest of the TEAM? Z-E-R-O. 4 of those were in the first two games so if you're blaming things, blame the NYR PP scoring 1 PP goal (a supposed strength of this team particularly with the Kane and Taransenko adds) in the last 5 games of the series.

For sure.

It just seems the team identity under Gallant was two headed. Power Play, and play heavy 5v5 in the playoffs.

Once the refs put the kibosh on the Heavy Game, our overall team speed was taken advantage of by NJ immediately. All they had to do was stay out of the box and NYR became a lame duck.

Rangers went like 0-18 on the PP after game 2 so even staying out of the box didn’t matter.

Panarin had a chance to win game 3 late and completely choked, and the team got extremely lazy and began to play like they did in the regular season instead of how they played the first 2 games.

What’s the lie?

Toews isn't retiring yet, just taking time off from hockey, imo him and Kane land in the same spot by the deadline, maybe that's here?

How about updating this list with a Salary column?
I can help out here:

1. Jason Robertson (Playoff salary $0)
2. Matt Boldy (Playoff salary $0)
3. Sam Reinhart (Playoff salary $0)
4. Nico Hischier (Playoff salary $0)
5. Robert Thomas (Playoff salary $0)
6. William Nylander (Playoff salary $0)
7. Andrei Svechnikov (Playoff salary $0)
8. Jesper Bratt (Playoff salary $0)
9. Brayden Schenn (Playoff salary $0)
10. Martin Necas (Playoff salary $0)
11. Anze Kopitar (Playoff salary $0)
12. Tyler Toffoli (Playoff salary $0)
13. Brayden Point (Playoff salary $0)

;)

Rangers should target this guy.

Zac Jones ( has to go through waivers) to Coyotes for RW Jan Jenik?? (795,500 cap hit RFA)

Janik is waiver eligible also. Doesn't help us.

RW depth helps us. Has more of a chance of making the 4th line than Jones in the top 6 d.
RW depth doesn’t help the Rangers unless it’s top six caliber. Another 4th line guy does absolutely nothing for this team, and can he easily resolved at the deadline if a trade is needed
