I don’t care either way, just who I see Gorts and JD going after.really really awful player.

I think Jacques Martin gets just as much credit as anyone for K’Andre Miller’s transition to the NHL. I think Fox has looked even better this year. Is that a credit to Martin too? I don’t know. But the team defense has all the sudden looked a lot better. Much more responsible. This is DQ’s 3rd year. Martin’s 1st with this team.
Bottom line is I don’t think DQ is the man for this job. We have read Kakko’s recent quote regarding last season. Lafreniere is being buried on a talentless 3rd line. Brendan Lemieux is getting PP time over Julien Gauthier, who can’t even get minutes when he scores. The team’s offense has regressed this year. The PP has significantly regressed — and unfortunately, what is different from last year is no DeAngelo. Some of the blame does reside with the players, but the personnel decisions have constantly been in question. The in game coaching has especially been in question.
I am not sure who the better options are. I like Boudreau more than Gallant but would be interested in either. Knoblauch probably isnt ready for the NHL level and Hartford hasnt exactly been the class of the AHL like Keefe had the Marlies as. Patrick Roy? Claude Julien, Laviolette, and Trotz would have been good options. John Stevens? Mike Yeo? Kirk Meuller?
I don’t think Lind Ruff has anything to do with what I was posting about, but ok.so do you think Lindy Ruff was secretly responsible for our offense last season and now that he is gone it suddenly sucks?
I guess Gorton got your message.Excellent, that was my suggestion yesterday.
Kings make sense as a trade partner at some point either on DeAngelo or down the line because their prospect pool is like an interlinking puzzle piece with the NYR’s. Stacked at C.
Q was rumored to be on the outs in Chicago for a while. We should have made Ruff a transitional head coach after firing V, waited for Chicago to pull the plug on Q. Avoid Quinn altogether, prevent Q from ever hitting Florida.Quenville is our guy but unfortunately Florida is playing well. They should have fired Quinn the minute that Quenville was available.
Link?Just watched Kyper talk about Tony and he mentioned several times Tony's recourse of going after people and bloggers that have set the tone in for his recent career happenings with false accusations that's made him untradeable/unemployable
I wonder if those articles are still up.

Two random thoughts...
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is far and away the best available center in the upcoming UFA marketplace. I would imagine the buzz around him will start building soon. Think Gorton will have his number on speed dial? The Rangers should have plenty of cap space available.
Brent Howden is a better player than most here will admit to but for his sake and ours, it's time for him to go. I wonder if there's a 1-1 trade (similar to Spooner/Strome) out there?
Howden was fine at the start of the year when he was on the fourth. He seemed a step faster or reading the play better. he has almost no offensive upside though. As hard as it is to believe Howden is actually a worse player than most people here think.

Lias Andersson is a C, we could trade ADA for him...
and the circle is now complete

I was told today that the Rangers have had conversations about DeAngelo with the LA Kings. No further details available.
I don’t want the Rangers paying him either. He is coming off a contract of $6 million AAV. He is probably going to be asking for a pay bump. He has been around a 60 point center most of his career. I just dont see paying him $7-$8 million per as being good value for this team.I am confident Gorton is looking at creative deals ... RNH is the best target so it depends on if the Oilers are going to pay him . Doubt they trade him but if they do NYR will try
